I fixed my problem with protection mode, make sure you have a clean input to the amp where it cuts out anything over 80HZ, it slaps now!!

Those RZR1 2500Ds can push 1608 watts at 1Ω clamped with box rise factored. I've ran it head to head with a Deaf Bonce Atom 2000.1 to a single Sundown X v2 10D2 and as long as ya install a fan or 2 you can play full tilt for hours. Just wish it was designed with 0 gauge inputs instead of the 8 gauge, but for budget amp that can push a big boi SPL sub it's worth buying.

No cap bro I’ve payed mines at 1 ohm and the amp would cut out I sent it back got another one and the same thing happens those gothic 12 beat harder than some name brands but I decided to got 0 Gauge big three install 16v battery in the trunk and upgrade the Alternator the whole 9. @@topiqchill241 yeah, i ran all 1/0 gauge Sky High wire along with three different 300amp ANL fuse relays and used a couple 1/0 to 8 gauge distribution blocks to wire in the Razor. And I've gotta deep cycle AGM as my accessory battery wired to a 250amp battery isolator so I'm not drawing off my main battery and i upgraded to a 320amp alternator and big 3ed it. My voltage rarely drops below 12.5v

I've ran them at 1 ohm for a long time now with no issues. If it protects on 2 of those subs the ground is poor, or your electrical is crap. Running mine in the truck on a singe 2ohm dual vc stroker wired parallel.

I got two of these powering my 15s. These little amp pack some punch. At first I just had one powering both subs at 4ohms and it hit hard but after adding the second one and wiring each sub to 2ohms all I can say is holy crap what a difference.

@dasuaveologist5823 Pioneer subs in a box? I have a Ram 1500 with four Pioneer 6x9 and two MB Quart tweets running off of a Sound Digital 400.2 and this amp pushing a 10" sub. Power Acoustic makes a 5 channel version of this amp that puts out 100 watts a channel to 4 channels and the sub channel puts out 400 watts at 4 ohms and 600 at 2 ohms. RZ52500D Walmart has it for $152.

Your wired series/parallel. Each dvc sub is wired series 4ohmx2 is 8. Your taking each sub up to 8ohms. Then you parallel the 2 subs together. 8ohm÷2 is 4ohm. Best bet on that amp would be 2 2ohm dvc subs. Wire em series/parallel and end up at 2ohm load

Bridge them together. Meaning connect positive to positive (+) and negative to negative (-)…. And connect both subs together on one channel on your amp

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way you're describing, you're only running one coil of each sub. Connecting the other +/- is pointless. And I'm under the impression that it's not good to run only one coil on a dvc sub.

Yes I’m running one voice coil on each (dvc)sub to get a 4ohm load. Which is the lowest Capacity rating for the amp I used. Connecting the +\- on each dvc sub is very necessary when you are measuring impedance because the ohm load will fluctuate when voltage is applied. And a few other reasons. But I will be converting back to parallel wiring soon stay tuned.

Try modeling your enclosure and subs in winisd. You can see the impedance curve of the enclosure and see what impedance your amp will actually be seeing. I have 2 dvc 8's. Dual 4ohm subs. I wired them parallel and they read .8ohm But in my box, my amp is only seeing a 3.6ohm load.. so I set my amp to deliver 650watts at 2ohms. It slams them two 8's like a boss, never gets warm, and never cuts off/protects. Run a scenario with winisd and see if you can wire yours like that.

Good video, one other thing thats important is dont use little tiny speaker wire, get big copper speaker wire, I had to learn about series wiring back on my first subwoofers back in 1985 before that in the 70s we didnt have all this fancy stuff, just a radio 8 track with a Kraco booster running 6x9s in the deck

So what I did was I hooked up negative to negative positive to positive on each sub then I hooked up one wire to each positive on the box and same on my negative then I grabbed my main lines from the amp to the lines I connected the two subs with and spliced it together what's that called

I’m still confused I have the scar ddx 12inch which is only rated for 1500 but the amp can’t even push it very hard without the amp going into protective mode. I’ve tried changing my ground but that made no difference cause I thought maybe I just had a bad ground. I’m running 4 gauge power and ground wire which should be fine

Because you are under powering the subs you’re meant to use one amplifier per sub you’re not supposed to run two of the subs off of this at the end it’s only 650 RMS watch it matches the speaker perfect so you are losing have to power that the subs should have

You can't always go by box specs with an 8 gauge to 4 gauge conversion adapter, and 8 gauge speaker wire,this amp will hit hard ass fuck at 1 ohm and even harder at .5 ohm with no problem 😊

@Beaky Boy Yes the channel on the amp has burned out. That’s what happened to my first Razor amp. I would recommend a stronger amp, a extra battery, & (The Big3 upgrade 0 gauge). If you don’t already have them.

Most likely your voltage is too high on the gains...I found that 38 volts is a good voltage with 2 ohms with 1- 12" sub

You won’t have to worry about the amp going into protection, because your impedance is higher then the required stability of the amplifier’s specifications which is 2 ohms.

Make sure you got power coming from your 12v wire. Make sure you’re grounded on a solid metal source. Also make sure your remote wire has good connection. Most importantly check all your wire to make sure there are no damages.

Try upgrading you 12 volt wire and ground first make sure ground is connected (paint free) to bare metal frame. Also make sure woofers are wired correctly
