Currently trying Mesmer for the first time. Id like to go for Chrono, but Mirage seems to be far more fluid. I noticed that it's kinda annoying that Mesmer only has 2 main hand options, yet a ton of off-hands(and Chrono even adds one more). I would like to play with Chronophantasma. This, alongside Gravity Well and Continuum, seem like the most interesting things Chrono brings. Shield is kinda eh, mainly cause I dont find sword to be a great mainhand to carry the dmg with. And timing Shatters with Chronophantasma seems pretty difficult. Maybe I try out a build without it, make it a bit faster.. But is it just me, or does Chrono feel kind of outdated?

I've wanted to play power Mesmer since launch. I've tried and tried and tried and somehow over 9 years I still just can't do it. I don't understand why this one specific class is like bashing my head into a brick wall.

Learn how to burst with mesmer and go range or kite when your burst is on cd. Rinse and repeat. For pve, mesmer is much easier because enemies tend to aim illusions

U talk about interrupt skills or interruptiong enemies. Im a new player, i have read some skills and i dont see any of them saying they interrupt. And what is combo, some skills have this in the explanation.

if u land a skill which is hard cc (daze, stun, knockback, launch, ...) while ur opponent is casting a skill, it is interrupted and thus put on 4 sec cooldown without any benefits. With Powerblock it is put on 15 sec cooldown. As u saw vallun at the end of the 2nd match interrupting the thiefs heal (right before he got moa-bursted by the chrono), he used his daze mantra & the healing skill of the thief was put on 15 sec cd, without the thief getting any healing from it.

combos work with 2 types of abilities: a combo field and a combo finisher, there are differente types of each, but in short if you cast a combo finisher over a combo field it will perform a combo (which is basically an additional effect), for example if you use a blast combo finisher over a fire combo field you will give might to you and nearby allies, but if you use a leap combo finisher over the same fire field you will get a fire aura. I'd suggest going to the wiki and look for 'combos' you'll get a list of each type of combo field/finisher and what the combo does when you combine the two.

Vallun, do you think necro counters guardian? Everytime I fight a necromancer it takes little effort, sometimes a scourge can be hard.. but core and reaper is fairly easy

necro is just very strong right now, but yes necro is good against guard
