Cane and Mecca’s relationship is very similar to Tariq and Kanan. Mecca will turn Cane against Lorenzo just as Kanan did with Tariq and Ghost. Cane and Tariq both felt they never received the respect they deserved from their fathers until Kanan/Mecca comes along and mentors them. Both Mecca and Kanan have motives for what they’re doing. Kanan was double crossed by Ghost and Tommy. Mecca had a son with Monet before he went to jail and served in the military and now he wants to get back in. It’s the perfect storm.

Hmmm, hear me out y’all, I know Mecca seems agitated at Chef, but what if this is a game between Chef and Mecca to make Cane feel more comfortable around Mecca and let his guard down even more. Mecca coming at Chef like that and being so calm and almost nice to Cane while showing anger at his right hand man might just be a ploy by the two. Mecca is calculated and meticulous, I don’t see this as just being an outburst, there’s an angle here. How this whole scene played out just feels like another game is being played by Mecca.
