I really like having the SB50 connectors. That will make it easy to reverse the connections in order to charge the chassis battery from the house battery if needed. Edit: Oh, reverse charge button! Nice!

Thanks! I didn’t test the wake-up function, try not to let my batteries get that low 🙂 10.5 for capacity test, never lower than 12.5ish on other 12V systems then they get a charge! Have had to manually wake up some power stations for friends who have let them sit 1+ year and batteries went flat though.

@@THEOFFGRIDMOUNTAINHOMESTEAD I’m confused. I thought the “wake up” meant the system detects solar power and automatically turns on the charge to accept the solar power.

Its BMS wake up is for LiFePO4 batteries that are below 9V and have went into protection mode. The feature will put a milliamp charge in to bring voltage up enough to activate the circuit to bring it online so it can accept normal charging!

Vertical axis for dirty wind. Wind blows almost constantly in the winter here! Testing with it now, will video it this winter when I have better wind numbers to work with!

Great review. What size DC to DC charger do you recommend for a 920ah set up? Is 100 ah overkill or is 50 or 75 more appropriate?

920Ah @ 12V? .1C charge rate would be 92A, so 100A barely over. Manufacturers mostly recommend .2C rates or lower charging for longest possible life. Hope this helps!

I'm going to use the exact setup in my gladiator for camping/overlanding. one question i have is shore power from a campsite. Any ideas on how to include a shore power hookup to this setup

Probably best to have a stand alone 120v to 12V dedicated charger. You can charge from multiple sources to one battery bank as long as you don’t exceed battery rating. Noeifevo makes an excellent charger that’s quite efficient and affordable. Various charging rates available as well. Hope this helps!
