I just saw on Gamestop.com the Red Ranger helmet from Hasbro is available for preorder now for $80.

I think the glossy one is closer to a Hero helmet. Or rather the up close shots. Not that the mat finished Legacy stuff is necessarily incapable of close ups. But like the comic covers with close ups on the Helmets it was shinier/glossier. Seems lile the Lightning series is kind of an homage to Boom Studios stuff.

I'd say $80 is good considering how the Marvel and Star Wars prop lines sell at $100. Hasbro doesn't have to worry about licensing fees with PR, they'll probably release their props at $80(I just need a SPD Morpher).

I do with the 'clips' were removable, its a shame the magnets are there with fake clips. They used both clips and smooth helmets in the show so either would be 'show accurate'

I understand wanting to wait for a sale, but if we as consumers do not buy products that we enjoy then the companies that make them, will stop making them. We have to vote with our dollars and support products that we really like. Unless it is a god-awful outrageous price of course, but if you can afford it, buy it.

im glad someone brought up that sticker i saw it on display at the hasbro booth in london a month ago and thought "cool they will sort out a nicer plaque this must be a prototype" then i find out no its shipping out already lol not thats it gonna stop it being on my shelf though

I love mine. My only complaint is that it is just a tiny bit too small for me. Maybe because I have big ears and a longer face. It’s rough to close because of my ears and the bottom of my chin hangs out. It looks and feels great though.

Better with magnets and a bit better than legacy green ranger helmet in my opinion. Very accurate with green and red its a bit a pain in the butt with the latches.

Instead of having a sticker for the base, they should've had a place to put a power coin or had a engraving of the logo of the coin in it. Also it could be a good place to put a morphiner on.

Depending on how serious you are about your cosplay it's a good or a bad buy. The visor isn't nearly dark enough, you can see through it pretty easy and they cut out the chin so like talking makes it pretty apparent, there are some other issues, but that being said it's definitely the best option for a cosplayer on a budget, that being said if you're going to be cosplaying a lot (as a ranger cosplayer) I'm gonna say it might be better to honestly save the money and put it towards a professionally made helmet. It really boils down to person, I already know in the future I'll replace this one with a professional one, but just for the time being it's a great affordable option that looks fairly good unlike the ones floating around eBay in a similar price range. But again it depends on what kind of cosplayer you are.
