The 2017 Power Rangers movie has pleased some fans and many are calling for a sequel. If this second movie could be made, then the white ranger should be the next ranger to appear. In addition to this, there should also be a new version of Lord Zedd and many new things.
Power Rangers is an American television series and franchise of the tokusatsu genre, version of Super Sentai Series, a Japanese television series of the same genre. It has been broadcast since 1993. From 2002 to 2009, the franchise was owned by The Walt Disney Company, but was reacquired in 2010 by Haim Saban, its creator and original driving force between Mighty Morphin and Wild Force (the latter created early in production before the sale of Saban Entertainment to Disney). On May 1, 2018, it was confirmed that the franchise was bought by Hasbro.

Making sure to teach the importance of responsibility for that which he was teaching them. Tokusatsu series, Especially Sentai/Senshi series, are mostly targeted for children in Japan, And when Haim Saban Made the American Version he insisted that the Villains be just as goofy as in the original... heck, a good 40% of the first few seasons were directly taken from the Japanese series, and just dubbed over(Fun fact: the yellow ranger was a guy in the Japanese source, which is why The Yellow Ranger suit didn't have a skirt like The Pink Suit did... so all the morphed fights? That was a guy. They later changed this, following The Original American Actress's Death.) Zed, Goddard, Rita, Finster, and the rest weren't supposed to be scary. they were comedic. By design.

@@BW9971 yes. We all know they brought Zed back. They also brought Rita back in the Mighty Morphin Anniversary Film.(Once and Always, I think it was called.) But no, we don't need a more menacing villain. The comics are fine, they're tatge5ef toward older fans, but the main series is, and always will be, A CHILDRENS SHOW. They won't go too intense,it would scare the children, which would lead to a decline in viewership. You've gotta look at it from a marketing perspective. I mean, think about it this way; If, for example, Godzilla attacked and destroyed Bluey, for example, Sure it would be Badass, but it would also upset the small children who watch the show. Or if The Transformer Bumblebee suddenly went on a murderous rampage, killing billions in a massive bloodbath akin to a scene from DOOM... That Transformers show would be cancelled in MINUTES. So, in the case of power rangers, they make the Villains Cartoonish and kinda Campy, just to keep it All Ages Appropriate. Sure, Drakkon appearing would be cool...(if impossible at this point, due to the passing of Jason David Frank) But it just wouldn't work, as it would raise the rating from PG to R...

Tommy being under a spell is still possible. Keep in mind Rita was asleep for millions of years and has been in through all kinds of dangerous situation while asleep. So a little frost bite shouldn't be a problem. Also in the he series she lives on n the moon.

Rita was probably going to land on the moon and build the Pandora Palace. From there, she would spy on the rangers and see Tommy associating himself with them. Then, she'd put a spell on Tommy and give him the green ranger powers to mess up the others from the inside subtly by messing up rescues and battles for example. I really wish we’d get a sequel to this. Rita wasn’t a stupid annoying idiot in the 2017 film. It was cool and makes sense that Zordon was a former Ranger. So that was really cool! It made sense that the suits and Zords looked more alien like. But We could make them look more recognizable in the sequel. A darker Lord Zed could be great for even a third movie! And yes! Bring on Tommy! That’d be MORPHINOMINAL!! I hope they make this happen!

Shortly after the release of the movie, I read some rumors that they actually wanted to include the green ranger in tbe sequel, but that thd person being the green ranger would be a girl with the name Tommi (yes, with an I instead of a Y). I think that name would have been weird for an English speaking character. If the green ranger would be a girl instead of a guy and the name should remain somewhat similar to Tommy, then I think that Tammy would been more appropriate.

i actually loved the rite change, i..... didn't mind the zordon change. I'd Introduce Tommy as evil. because lord Z found rita in space and took her coin, put her in some bacta tank to heal while tommy goes after the rangers, wipes the floor with them. then some heartfelt never give up stuff, round 2 they just beat him, tommy asked them to kill him so he can't be controlled anymore, they don't tommy flips, they go after Z, Big fight Z Retreats. all is good. Tommy loses his powers and Zordon tells him Z only let you borrow them turning on him screw that up for ya. tommy thanks everyone for setting him free and walks off. Post credit scene White ranger Armour. Throw so more stuff in there and that how i would do it and damn i wish they did this as a movie

Costume designer "Michiko Kitamura" needs to be called in for a reboot. Please, no American designers, please. Movie approach should be similar to Stranger Things. Zord designs should not be anything remotely close to Transformers or Pacific Rim. Cut down on the intricate details. Focus on the kids actually being viable without their powers. The original US TV show cast was spot on perfect, especially Jason who looked like he could fight. Everyone fit a stereotype that was easily digestible and those who were weak early on, had excellent character development. Instead of focusing on all of the rangers. They need to focus on just one. By movies end, journey setup to find the next 4 rangers.

What if she didnt pass away? If my memory serves me correctly, Rita and the gang in the og series were set free either on the moon or the next planet. So, you can write her character being sent to the moon frozen sleep, and shes found by Zedd (For a Thanos Arc) and reintroduced to a modern take on the og gang. Plus we meet Tommy (who catches Rita's attention after he finds the green coin) we are reintroduced to Rita, after Zedd finds her on the moon and brings her to his palace, in her og MMPR attire which she gets from Zedd. We are also reintroduced to a smaller more familiar version of Goldar. As well as a modern take of Bulk and Sull. With the og Actors making appearances as family members and teachers, etc small roles.

Rita herself isn't needed to make Tommy evil. Rita had the green power coin in her staff. The staff is linked to Rita. Since the staff wasn't with her when she went into space, just finding that staff maybe all that us needed. It would then be up to Zordon to free him of the evil either by purifying the crystal or turn Tom into the white ranger to save him.

The morphing scene was so underwhelming. The original series was way better as it called for metal music, shouting, then transformation scenes. Eventually they'd call for the Zords, gigantic mechs coming from all corners of the globe, some from underground, out of a volcano, etc. The 1995 movie was almost there, but not quite. Made up for it with a great soundtrack and using experimental tech at the time like motion capture (according to the Laser Disk) which hasn't... aged well. Lord Zed, from what I understand, was redesigned to look gorier than his television counterpart and it worked with extra shiny chrome. The cast's morph suits were original as in tailored to each actor and had more of an "armor" aesthetic rather than just spandex. The 2017 ending did make me want to see a sequel but from what I understand it was a failure. People did watch it but methinks it faired as well as the Robocop remake. Remember that from 2014? Didn't think so.

Diversity without pushing the agenda on us and they didn't do a bad story for it for it being only a movie and not a series with more story but could always change. To be honest… Power Rangers is more of a “starwars” level of entertainment material that was held back from reaching its full potential because it was stripped back to be delivered to a children’s audience… I mean… It’s no Thomas the Train or Blues Clues…. Yet…. Subject Matter that was far better suited for mature audiences tailored for kids…. What were they thinking in the 90s…. This could have easily competed with Starwars, Star Trek, Harry Potter, or any other Action Fantasy Franchise…. They cheesed it up and made something so cool so…. Silly….

I didn't mind the changes made to Rita and Zordon's backstories. The film obviously needed to condense a lot of ideas and material from the series to create a cohesive new version of the story. However the abysmal product placement (krispy kreme) and the fact that we spent most of the film with the rangers unmorphed really damaged the movie. The redesigned suits and zords were also a big no-no throwing away some of the most iconic imagery from the original version. Goldar too being a mute giant was a terrible decision too. I was split over the reworked rangers themselves - On the one hand they created interesting new versions of the characters... however they changed them a little too much from the originals to the point that they ceased to be versions of those characters... They might as well have given them all different names to go with the different characterisations.

The 2017 Rangers was cool IMO But I remembered running home after school to watch it at 4pm so Zach Trina Tommie and Jason were my OG's There's a short film wit' the Black Ranger in those OG uniforms that I wish they would make a movie like. Not sure if anyone has scene it, but that short film was what I would really enjoy seeing a Power Rangers movie be like if the do another one

Could be an AI version of Rita exists within the power coin. Similiar to how Zordon is an AI version in the ship/command center. So she is using Tommy as a host and to purify the green power, it turns to the white ranger.
