Hi there, love your video's! Just got in to karting, bought a 2nd hand intrepid 125cc rotax. So much fun! Only thing, my knee's are too close to the wheel . Do you know what the part is I need to add more space between my knee's and the wheel? Thanks in advance!!
@PowerRepublic5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jimmy, how tall are you? you can cut the steering column down and re drill a new steering wheel boss bolt hole in the shaft. Also you can adjust the pedals foward until they are about to touch the front crash bars. Also remove the heel stops too. If that isn't enough, you can get or make a front bar extension kit.

@@PowerRepublic Thanks for the swift reply! I'm 6"2, for someone with limited mechanical experience, which do you think would be the easiest/cost effective solution?
@PowerRepublic5 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Crackers that’s tall for a kart but not impossible. Cheapest is to modify your self. Best is to buy/make a front extension kit.

Do I have to have a fuel pump to run the gas tank under the steering wheel
@PowerRepublic6 жыл бұрын
Hi, which type of engine do you have?
@olisutton13686 жыл бұрын
Why does your chassis have loops for the fuel lines? Is that normal?
@PowerRepublic6 жыл бұрын
its just a feature thats makes running the fuel lines neater. If you like you can always not use them and just zip tie the fuel line to the chassis.

Does the return line run into the fuel or just top of the tank
@PowerRepublic3 жыл бұрын
it should discharge to the top of the tank and then just fall back to the fuel at fuel level

@@PowerRepublic will it be ok if I don't have a return line ? I have a 11 hp honda engine and I have a 3 or 4 hp honda clone im using one of the little black pulse pumps for each engine

@@domenicomallardo cool. the clutch cable is pretty straight forward. First, loosen the cable clamp that hold the tension on the cable near the steering boss. Then, get some slack in the cable and put the other end into the clutch arm and the outer sheath into the crankcase housing. Pull the cable tight and adjust the the cable clamp and you should be all done. hope that helps
