I have a 66 impala with power steering and 350 sbc short water pump. When converting to the jeep steering box, will a new 1966 impala rag joint fit or do I have to get a different rag joint that fits with the jeep steering box? Does the same apply for the pitman arm?

Yes the rag joint will need to be replaced. Google 31011 rag joint. Ebay will be around 30.00 the Pitman arm should be OK Summit racing has oring to flare adapter for P/S lines. The only thing that is a maybe is power steering pump brackets. The chevelle had short W/P Brackets that sat too low So I went with long W/P Brackets and LWP.

Is this Cardone Part # a Jeep Quick Ratio Steering box? I have a 66 El Camino & wanting to make sure this is the right one before i buy it. Any info would be very helpful. Thanks

Yes the box in the video will fit . If you have O.E. Power steering pump you will need to to change the brackets and the pump cover and also widen the rag joint to steering shaft bolt hole . My 64 is done , worth the time and money.

Power steering came in el Camino's in 1964 on up But some of the base models inline 6 with manual transmission Didn't put anything that is Didn't need. Like the elco In the video.

I’m doing a 1969 Chevelle with manual steering box, I have everything pump wise to convert it like resivior pump, engine brackets, pulley and hoses from OPG. All I’m needing is the steering box, joint rag, pitman arm and those power steering pump hose adapter fittings? do you have the part numbers I could get to finish the swap? or any help would be greatly appreciated

The fitting are from summit racing 605SOL Pitman arm Proforged 103-10041 E-Coated Pitman Arm Amazon Rag joint Lares 205 - Steering Coupling Assembly I think. This is the number

The rag joint is available at local parts houses if you go down to autozone you might find a Dorman 31011 that you can match up to the new gear box

The Pitman arm is the right number I got it from Amazon I got the rag joint from eBay. The number I posted is a I think will work based on 80 Suburban Good luck

Cardone 27-7525 Remanufactured Power Steering Gear 1994 jeep grand cherokee used is also a good choice I was able to get a core refund on my 64 But since you don't have a core. Used junk yard part will work
