I remember watching this stuff before I could drive thinking how cool it would be to have one of the trucks they worked on. Never even noticed stone cold but I was like 14 🤣

I had an 06 for a few years, I DEFINITELY don't miss the issues that Isuzu 3.5 engine gave me every other week, bought it with 282k miles and sold it with 300k miles, pretty much every accessory under the hood got replaced at least once
@SteveGrin2 жыл бұрын
282k miles and you're complaining about replacing shit?
@yalantyr252 жыл бұрын
@@SteveGrin I wasn't complaining, I just made a statement that's all
@SGTJDerek2 жыл бұрын
282k? Sounds like it wasn't maintained. They're called "wearable items" for a reason. Did that include the timing belt between the transmission and engine?
@yalantyr252 жыл бұрын
@@SGTJDerek everything external was done, Once I started getting timing chain slap on the cover that was my que to dump it, Noticed the timing chains was a big issue on these 3.5s, and now I'm glad I sold it

@@yalantyr25 thanks dude🤣. Our conversation just gave me another vehicle recipe I'll never get to build. I know we weren't talking Diesels but, Cummins 2.8 Diesel crate engine swap. I always liked this body style. Doesn't help there's one down the street that just looks good. Nothing special about it. Just a clean truck with a nice set of wheels and tires.

tools in comments... I like the energy of the guest host... we all make mistakes... What a transformation on the truck, the lift might be all it needed, but it wanted everything it got... Great Job! Product Placement has never been so entertaining & informative...

You can fit 35's on it but after 2 inch body, 2 inch suspension and trimming the rear body mount. Australians do it all the time except it's on the Holden RA Rodeo which is a rebadge of the Colorado.

You guys didn't do that anemic little 5 cylinder any favors by putting those big tires on it! I bet that wimpy thing spins ALL of the main bearings in a couple of months. You should've spent your time & money putting a real engine in it. I bet that 5 cylinder would make a great motorcycle engine though!
