What an absolutely absurd amount of trouble to program this lock. I had a similar locks, made by Master, that took me all of 30 seconds to program and was just as secure.

To my horror, the bolt auto-locked while I was re-keying the lock. It happened after I removed the original key, but before I had inserted the new key. So the keyhole turned back to the vertical position without a key inserted. I don't know what this does inside the lock cylinder, but neither key works now. I think I'm hooped.

firts do the reset lock factory setting , then follow the other step and it will work , they start the wrong way , another example that is dificult to people to unsderstand , the cie don't think much

I've had the lock for years it was not working so i Pressed reset, which instructions will let me put the code back in? Can I use the same code or is it like the computrer and you have to use a new one?

Sometimes the door is just not lined up for the lock to extend properly. Pull the door tighter or push a little to see if you can get the hole lined up without having to reinstall the plate. (Sorry I'm not familiar with the terms, hope you know what I mean)

Having trouble locking the door. It just blinks red if I press the lock button. I managed to change the MC and add a UC but the door just won't lock.

@Rachel Obront Hey so sorry for not replying sooner. I eventually figured it out. The lock has to be configured to "detect right and left hand door installation" as it's called in the set up guide. Probably to late for you but hold the reset button for 5 seconds (near the battery compartment). Then the master code will be 0000.
