So while we originally thought that too, now having driven it a bit more, we think it’s sub Seltos.

Alcazar is based on the Creta/Seltos platform while Carens is based on the Sonet/Venue platform. Hence it is not a competitor to the Alcazar as they are in different segments.

Ummm only Xylo could do some minor damage to Innova. Fleet owners need cars that run 3-4 lakh km with few troubles. Marazzo tried to do the same but couldn't. Innova has a loyal fan base and can't be substituted

This looks very similar to the Nissan xtrail / Mitsubishi outlander. I own an outlander and trust me that 18 inch wheels does make a difference to the look of the car. I can't really understand the obsession with 16 inch wheels in India.. many cars come with small ones making it look a bit unfinished..

It is only because people are obsessed with mileage. Smaller wheels = lower grip = lesser friction between tyre and road = more mileage

It brings me to a question, I own XL6 Alpha MT, 2.3 yrs old. is it worthwhile to consider Carens "prestige" over features like Smart Hybrid, Auto AC, 2nd row captain seats. Suggestions welcome from experienced PD Team for making decision!

My Kia sonet diesel automatic returns around 13-14kmpl in city+highway .So, you can expect Carens diesel automatic to return around 10-11kmpl. Hope it helpful.

I do like the way it looks, although the front looks better on the darker blue shade than on the white imo. But I am a little confused regarding the tranny on the Petrol variant. The DCT seems like a good option, yet I heard many concerns about its reliability and maintenance. Could PD confirm on this please? Apparently a proper TC auto box like on the Diesel is far more bulletproof.
