Sure....... But divorce does the same thing. Multiple studies have shown children are less damaged by death of a parent than they are by divorce. Being raised by a single mother is the single greatest predictor of a future prisoner. 80% are from a single parent household. Lack of education, childhood abuse, mental illness etc......... A child of divorce has a higher odds of ending up in prison

It may not have been true for this couple, but the main reason so many former couples stay in the same home, is financial. Most Americans are struggling in poverty, or are poor. Another very common reason is that one of the partners owns the home, & when they decide its over, the other person may not have all the funds we now need in this country to move in somewhere.

Just really sad that Gary Farris didn't dump his wife by divorcing her after the very first affair when she left the marital home and moved in with her lover. 😢 😢 Taking her back turned out to be a deadly mistake. Melody's crime is all the more despicable because she allowed her attorneys to cast doubt on her own sons as being responsible for killing their Dad. Those kids may have been spoiled, entitled and privileged but they didn't kill their Dad. The jury got it right.

UM for those of you and there were plenty - who wondered how she could have lugged him to the firepit - first of all imo she shot him and missed inside the house - he ran outside toward the firepit he tripped fell in and she shot him which was the bullet lodged in his rib cage - or if you can't believe that - there is another case or two - google it - one is a woman who killed her mother put her in a tote and lugged her to the garage - another case - a wife killed her national guard husband into a tote drove him away - and if that is not enough - google Melody Farris - when she was actually arrested SEVEN years ago and look at her!!! She weight more and looked MUCH different! So there is all of that IMO AND AND AND if that isn't convincing enough - how about how Melody and Amanda were standing over the burn pile and DIDN"T notice there was someone in there?!?!? So no I don't think anyone else was involved but if there was I would say it was Amanda - IMO

i imagine much of this comes under circumstantial evidence, which there seems to be a ridiculous amount of. a few cases of bad-mouthing, or people talking about their assumptions is one thing - but this? the mother had vocalized her wish to see her husband dead, was in a long-term affair, hadn't bothered to check to see if he'd taken any belongings with him (he hadn't and he'd even left his damn cpap machine), was constantly trying to get access to the money, clearly hated her husband, was emotionally unmoved by the situation, the body was found at a firepit on their property but there being no evidence of him doing any work up there that could lead to an accident, and then bullets were found in the remains... if you're looking at motive everything points to one person. you also have multiple testimonies from people who seem genuinely devastated and that paint a convincing picture of the situation and of the people involved. all of it together makes for a convincing case, and likely meets the criteria for probable cause.

I don't know if I believe the son who said he called his sister, as they were looking for their Father, telling her that he found their dad in the burn pit...how did he know that that was his Fathers remains?? Also, when was the so called, evidence that Melody said her husband was in the burn pile, was it after they found the remains and did anyone record it hear the conversation? I don't know why but I get a weird vibe from the son, he just doesn't sound believable.

Gary was wounded in the house and most likely escaped out the walkout basement where he was shot again. There was a tractor that she used to put him on the burn pile.
