Great point about being specific about what gives the trade edge versus simply enumerating the things that can happen.

Freaking awesome video! Loved the breakdown of a playbook trade. Never looked at trading catalyst gaps this way. The breakdown of the tape was definitely my favorite part. Appreciate it SMB team.

Thank you gentlemen. Fantastic. Question - how do you define an overextension here at the point you took off 20%? is it something like 1 atr from the 9ema? thank you once again, all the guys who are taking time to make these videos and create content in your own time. Thank you.

Great info. I hadn't considered using AVWAP for these but it sure looks useful. I also love the 'fighting for price' concept. I have learned the hard way that getting a great price at the right time is so critical to having a strong position. Thanks for sharing!

Great trade. I know the volume wasn't there as the trader stated. However I do wonder about the red to green trade once price came back through the open of the day. The open is definitely a target for profit taking after the initial position BUT once the tape confirms buyers are in control is/ would this be another opportunity to add or to put on a new position. Thanks SMB.

I would be hesitate to take this trade until it breaks above vwap...reason is this could be a h pattern. Fortunately for you, it just kept going higher and higher.

I've looked at my chart on DKNG and don't understand how you came to the conclusion that $23 was a significant level. Would you be able to explain please? Thanks
@treymasters
@treymasters Жыл бұрын
I didn't take this trade and I'm not on the SMB team, but what makes sense to me here is he had a strong positive catalyst and the fundamentals checked out. The reason 23 was a significant level was because the tape showed it was holding with strength and it was close to that prior high of 22.76 (Turning prior resistance into support). Also everything else checked out. Price won't always come down to your exact level, when everything else lines up the trade is worth taking. Definitely an A+ setup, yes price coming down to exactly 22.76 would have been A++, but we don't get what we exactly want every time.

@@treymasters yeah I personally don’t agree. He stated his stop was at low of day. So his stop was ABOVE the prior resistance (new support/$22.76). The stock could have tested that $22.76 level and bounced and he would have been stopped out. I’d personally rather wait for the actual level to be tested but I am very patient and rather wait for setups to be perfect but that’s just my style.

after hours area. Level was more 22.75ish but the 23 developed in realtime and the tape was helpful in spotting that. Whole numbers typically are more important so the development of 23 was something Carter found important. Stop was clear for him based on tape.
