POWERFUL PARTNERSHIP: ATTHAYA AND YIN TURNING COMPETITION INTO VICTORIES! 🏌🏽GOLF PGA TOUR NEWS

Hey y'all! Former top Asian amateurs and former world number ones Atthaya Thitikul and Yin Ruoning teamed up flawlessly to clinch victory at the LPGA Tour's Dow Championship. The Thai-Chinese duo finished one stroke ahead of Americans Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho at the Midland Country Club. For Atthaya, who triumphed at the inaugural Women's Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) in 2018, and Yin, it marked their third LPGA Tour title.
Starting the final round of Sunday's four-ball tied for second place, trailing Ewing and Kupcho by one shot, Atthaya and Yin surged ahead with three consecutive birdies on holes two through four. They added two more on seven and nine but slowed their pace on the back nine, allowing the American duo to close the gap.

At the par-three 18th hole, Atthaya sunk a clutch 10-foot birdie putt to finish with a team score of eight-under-par 62, setting the clubhouse target at 22-under 258. Ewing and Kupcho needed a birdie on the final hole to force a playoff, but both players settled for pars, securing outright second place at 21-under.
The tournament featured 72 two-player teams competing over four rounds, with alternate shot format in the first and third rounds, and best-ball in the second and final rounds. This format brought out the best in these players, making for some exciting Golf PGA TOUR NEWS.
Longtime pals since their standout performance at the 2018 Asia-Pacific Amateur Ladies Team Championship for the Queen Sirikit Cup, Atthaya and Yin, both aged 21, shared heartfelt praise for each other. Yin, sidelined until the upcoming Paris Olympics due to a wrist injury, chimed in, "We're always joking around; Jeeno always says, 'I'm never worried if I flub a shot because I know you've got my back to recover.'" "We really nailed it this time. Having her by my side and clinching the win, nothing beats that feeling," she added, securing her third LPGA Tour title, including the prestigious 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
The Danish duo of Nanna Koerstz Madsen and Nicole Broch Estrup finished tied for third at 19-under-par, along with Korea's Kang Hae-ji and Kim In-kyung. A stroke behind were England's Charley Hull and Georgia Hall, and the American-Australian duo of Auston Kim and Grace Kim, both former WAAP and Queen Sirikit Cup contenders.
