Fun Fact: The only reason this game was made was to prove the SNES (Super Famicom) can make a game like Megaman 8 on that system. Seriously the developers actually said "Megaman 8 should have been on SNES and we will prove it".

@@LavaCreeperPeople Yes, I wish they didn't reuse the sound effects from Megaman 7, and introduced new sounds effects. I also think they should have made two new Robot masters instead of reusing Astro man and Tengu man. And, lastly toning down a little on the difficulty. Megaman and Bass felt like it was a Kiazo hack of a Megaman game.

@@basedseraph4965 Its a shame because imo it needed minimal tweaking to be a top tier mega man game. Less tweaking than MM8 needs thats for sure. Though MMB is far from kaizo. I actually think its easier than MM9.

@@panthekirb7561 That's because you are very good at Megaman games. A casual player coming from games like Megaman 2 and 3 are going to struggle with MMB. There was so many difficult jumps and unfair enemy placement in Megaman and Bass. I do agree that Megaman 9 was no walk in the park either.

@@panthekirb7561 Agreed that overall MM&B is not as hard as everyone's making it out to be. I had a harder time with 9 and 10, for example. It has to be played differently than a traditional classic MM game; especially if playing as Mega Man.

Love the hard work and effort that went into this video, the voice acting, memes and appreciation for this underrated gem of game. I ranked Megaman and Bass as one of my Top 25 games of all time, at first I considered X3 and X4 but those games don’t give that much of a challenge and don’t have collectible CDs so I ultimately decided on Rockman & Forte.

Mega Man 8 for super players... if you don't choose Bass. Some compare it to Mega Man X6 but aside from the checkpointing in the King stages I found it much better-balanced. I like how the CD collection includes Game Boy-only characters like Enker and Sunstar.

The stake of getting a game over on the 3-part King stage resulting in starting over from its first part is mostly blown out of proportion by people. The first level has no real difficulty at all, since you can just hide in the space below the tank. The second level has a 1-up that spawns after each time you die, making it pretty much like infinite lives/tries to beat the plane. Finally, the final King form is extremely easy if you don't take out the treads. So if you enter the king stage gauntlet with 9 lives, that's more than enough to get through all 3 parts without a game over.

The secret best classic game until 11 came out. R&F's a real kick in the teeth up front, but it gives you every tool you need to crack it open like a walnut. Unless you just _wanna_ get kicked in the teeth and then you can ignore all of it and go buster duel bosses with no gear. Options!
