...difficult(to say the least!)wit swell startin' ta pop outside,as you can see sixty shoulder- hoppin' parkin' lot prima donnas get caught inside waitin' for noisy ass jet ski to git em back to da beach yes the point is a beautiful place with a few genuine good big wave surfers but overun by lazy kooks on jet ski

I honestly don't understand how these guys sit in the pit . At any moment, an outside set could rear up. I've surfed 50 yrs, and if you got caught in front of one of these, It could be lights out. Awesome photography Powerlines.

Amazing! There were 3 of the Peter Mel waves (lightly capping, allowing for a roll in) but every one of those waves clamped. Makes Mel's wave that much more crazy rare.

Lot of makeable drops being passed up. Never catch me looking down one of them monsters. Can you imagine Jeff Clark was out there by himself for years. Amazing!

Imagine paddling for one then pulling up, turn around and the rogue bomb is rising up 40 yards out and no way to escape the upcoming hold down.... stuff of nightmares so terrifying. Much respect.

Between the legit long period swell, and the rough wind conditions - seems like quadruple black diamond conditions... I think I surfed La Jolla on this swell... And it came up so fast - that was scary, too.

That poor guy with the yellow surfboard went over the falls. I've been over the falls on a 10-foot wave and it wasn't pleasant. I can't imagine what the ride was like for him.

A wave looks much bigger when seen from a prone position on a surfboard. Those waves look like closeouts anyway. Great videography.

Try searching for a video that says “takers” with a giant wave in the thumbnail picture. I think the point to this video is gigantic waves happening and no one has the stones to ride them. Just my take on it anyways.
