I’m building a turbo 305 in a Firebird rn! Same thing happened where I thought it was a 350 and it was a 305, thought I’d just roll with it tho lol

@@cjrides1796 Oly thing doesn't is the 305 Bore is 3.34 and a 350 is 4.0 inch and a 305 is only 2 bolt main but you can still build a 305 to make 400 HP good luck on the build!

@@michaelawram3618 thx. The bore is actually 3.736! So not terribly smaller than the 4” 350! I’m using arp main bolts/ rod bolts as well so i think I’ll be in good hands, I’m only going to be running 8-10 psi

Nice, been waiting for more gmt400 love although I would love to see engine power do a nice budget 5.7l vortec build for once. A 6.0l LS based vortec would be my second choice though so excited to watch.

After seeing how he did the last civic paint job. I hope he doesn’t paint this rig. So much over spray. It’d be nice if they just did a cut and buff. Knock down the oem orange peel and bring back that mirror finish

Egad! I just sold my 1994, Z71, 1/2 ton short bed 4WD last year. I was just so tired of fixing it and working on it. Now I kind of wish I hadn't. But now I've got a 2021 Z71 Colorado which is better (way better) in every way so I guess that's not so bad.

As far as I understand, sea foam should help break down carbon. Cleaning the injectors, intake, valves etc. When you put that in the tank, I would think that it could cause minor fuel pump damage. I would really like to find out where my thought process lands on this. Im always interested in learning this stuff.

Are you guys going to at least clean as you go along for once on this build? GMT400s already have difficulty fighting rust (including the rear frame where you are talking about making changes) and EVERY project you've worked on so far has demonstrated that you don't care about trapping dirt, mud, or rust during your fab work. It would be nice to see one exception, when the starting material and potential is as nice as this truck looks to have. Also remember these trucks came from the factory with extra galvanization on the hoods, when you consider modifying them.

I hate lowered truck's I like these GMT400 2wd's left 100% stock ride height and rake. All these trucks really need is a nice dual exhaust and a nice set of 15" rims 10' wide in the back and a 2inch rise cowl hood and done that's how I like them. To me I see a lowered truck I feel 🤢. Now I would completely restore the OEM suspension with all new bushings and I'd also upgrade the brakes and probably do disk brake swap in the rear.

you made a 402 ci LQ4 nice my has a 4.03" bore and 4." stroke and made 408 ci LQ4 at the tires in my 2001 suburban 2500 4X4 it made 274 hp and 361 tq is rhere away to know what it would make at the crankshaft stock trim cathedral Port hands 10.02 to 1 compression all stock parts on the engine in the engine bay running through a 4L80E transfer case and a 3/4 ton rear end with 410 gear didn't have the money to dyno the motor with a chassis downloaded and that's what I came up with truck near every work so good
