This was the fifth video I came across while searching how to voice-over. I'm glad I found this simple, easy , and great tutorial. I don't think I need to search any further. Thank you!

This is the first comment I have ever left on line anywhere. I looked at all of the voice over videos I could and stopped at this on as it is the best one out there. Thanks for making this understandable and hitting the key points I will need.

Great video! Thanks for keeping it simple and to the point! Is there a way of automatically generating a transcript of the voiceover? Even if it's not a perfect transcript, it would still be useful. Thank you again!
@mlcjohnson164 жыл бұрын
I've used the KZbin transcripts for an "ugly" transcription, but I'll look if there is a better way to get something that doesn't need as much formatting love.

HI JOSHUA - VERY HELPFUL ... However, when I uploaded my videos (Unlisted) to my channel, the volume variates - is faded at beginning of each slide change in video when I watch it on my computer, BUT its is OK when watching same video on phone. Weird? Any suggestions? Much appreciated - Daniel
@mlcjohnson164 жыл бұрын
That is very strange actually. It almost makes it sound like your computer is trying to even out the volume while it is playing. I'm not 100% sure, but I wonder if there is some setting on your computer's sound options (not necessarily in KZbin) that is doing that. I'd love to have a listen.

Can I add narration and record a few slides and set up the automated timing on the rest of my 100 slides or do i need to record all the slides?
@mlcjohnson163 жыл бұрын
That is an excellent question. I believe you can do that. I've never tried. I might give it a go. Personally, I've started using more of the screencast-o-matic style of recording presentations (free for 15 minutes) but requires me to get all the slides narrated correctly the first time (which can be annoying). There are some similar options out there as well. The advantage is you could have complete control over the fluidity of the presentation when you record it. A personal Zoom meeting with no participants is another good option (for up to 30 minutes I believe... maybe more).

@mlcjohnson164 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I don't think it existed in the pre-2010 (but I'm not 100% certain). You might also look at a few videos about how to use either Zoom or Screencast-o-matic to record a presentation. (Both can be done freely and downloaded / uploaded to KZbin. Screencast-o-matic has a time limit on the free account). Find some more info here: www.wlcidc.com/coronavirus

If you are asking what software I was using? I use Camtasia (by Techsmith) to record my videos. It's not the cheapest solution, but has a lot of features for creating, editing, and annotating videos that I find well worth the price tag.

Sorry but how to add the record into a online Powerpoint? pls help
@mlcjohnson164 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure there is a record option in the online version. I'd recommend looking at a program called screencast-o-matic to record your presentation. I believe I have some videos on that as well. Check out www.wlcidc.com/howto/screencasts

how can I improve the quality of the audio?
@mlcjohnson164 жыл бұрын
Audio quality will almost always be tied to the quality of the Microphone. There are a lot of options, but I personally recommend using a USB webcam (Logitech makes a great one) because it also has a built microphone that will improve as well. Other options are to try recording with different headsets or ear-bud microphones. The microphone / webcam built into most laptops are just not great quality and can sound like you are in a wind tunnel.

@msanja704 жыл бұрын
What's so unwise about his word choice? This is his platform and if he chooses to be familiar and human with his audience he can. Maybe you should record videos and let everyone critique your perfectionism.
