Thanks! It really has worked great so far, and if you are in a tight space, or have to move the hose a lot, I definitely suggest putting the bin on wheels so it can move freely as you pull the hose. Best of luck!

Nice job. Tip on cutting sheet metal with a jigsaw….back it up with foam insulation board, reduces vibration and deformation

Thank you. I will definitely keep some around, because I really didn't enjoy that cutting experience.

Thanks for the video. I would add caulking around the ports as it looks like there were gaps in your weather stripping that could leak air

Definitely a good idea. I am interested in some day getting a cigar, and letting the smoke flow near it to see if there are any large air gaps, just out of curiosity.

Has anyone tried these adapters with the Thien Cyclone Separator baffle?

so where I am trying to put this i am limited on space. so you mention they have to place further apart then a 5 gallon bucket would allow. As a rough guess how far would you say they need to be apart? I have some extra height but limited a bit on width. On Amazon the pictures show them installed on a 5 gallon bucket size right next to each as well. I don't want to assume because there is a picture that it should be done Thanks

So, it is more of a could vs should, in regards to a few things, and then what performance you expect. They suggest 2in from the edge, and iirc 2-4in from one another. The exterior diameter of the lip is about 6 in, so that's probably pretty close to touching on the 5g bucket. The cyclone needs the material to spin around the edge to separate, but you don't want them so close that the suction of a DC with a 4in port just draws the dust immediately in the other end. I can't really say which way is worse... too close to the edge, or too close to one another. I guess too close to the edge is probably worse? Not sure. Part of the issue with a 5g bucket will also be the power of your DC just pulling the dust right back up from the bottom. I can only fill that trash bin about half way before it starts pulling dust back up. That is going to depend on your DC. This is probably just a give and take, where you can put them that close, on a 5g bucket, but the performance will dip, if that makes sense. I am guessing it will still filter out most of the biggest stuff, probably, but how much of the medium/small stuff stays in the bucket may be less.
