These are always a great conversation starter. We had some HVAC guys working at the house and eventually one had to use the guest bath and he came out holding the TP roll that was on the back of the toilet and was giggling! My hubs told hm to keep it and I had to make another one, but he talked about that all the rest of the time he was here! Great fun!

It's funny you showed this. I decided since my three grandson's are so hard to buy for, this is what their getting this year. I have two set up and one more to go. I think I'll do the one you did for my oldest.
@PowerToolsWithThread2 жыл бұрын
Ha! Now what's so funny about that, is that while they will spend what's inside, they will keep the roll forever! What a way to remember their grandmother! lol I'm doing the same for my grandsons when they 'age out'.

This is perfect. One of my kids only wants money for Christmas. I will do this and stuff the money in the roll. Can't wait to see her expression when she opens toilet paper on Christmas morning. Thanks Becky! I have been racking my brain trying to think of a clever way to do this.

I just got off the phone with my son and he said that money for the kids would be perfect for Christmas since they have so much stuff. I hadn't thought of these rolls for 7 and 11 year old boys, but really, why not? They are at the age where poop is hilarious! I'll look for a design that's age appropriate. lol too funny

I started embroidering on toilet paper last year - great fun and everyone loved their special gifts. I also sold several rolls for $10 each. Today I'm delivering 5 rolls to a customer. I never thought to remove a length of sheets and then reroll it. I embroider on my single needle still attached!!!!! Your video is great. 😄 💩

Your method works too on a single needle. On the multi-needle, there's nowhere for the roll to lay. lol

Just a note - I purchased the cello bags in your link and when I got them, the rolls would not fit. I had to get bigger ones.
@PowerToolsWithThread2 жыл бұрын
Some rolls are ginormous these days. I did mention in the video that if they don't fit, you'd have to roll some off so they will go into the bags. That's what I did and then used that excess in my bathroom. :)

Could you show us how to do on a single needle machine? PLEASE. THANK YOU!
@PowerToolsWithThread2 жыл бұрын
The process for single needle machines is exactly the same. You just have to change your thread colors after each stitch sequence finishes. If you don't have a camera, you will need to find center of your design and make sure that you bring needle down exactly on the crosshair center.

Very cute! Can those magnets be used on a regular embroidery machine?

Absolutely! I like them because the backing is slim and it fits to the top perfectly so there's no chance of anything being caught on the bed of the machine.

The pattern is by Coach House Designs and it goes with a panel that's no longer in print. The house and the trees are pieced and then other panel blocks are used. Here's the pattern: shrsl.com/3to6u

Becky, I absolutely love you and your videos. I’m a confident beginner at embroidery and have been learning so much from you. One question I have is I see when it calls for no show mesh and then to press seams open after the blocks are sewn together, you can press and your iron is touching the mesh. Mine melts! My iron is a wreck and I’m frustrated. How do you accomplish this?
@PowerToolsWithThread2 жыл бұрын
Ah, that's because you're using inexpensive poly mesh. Try the mesh I use that's in my Amazon store. It's very reasonably priced priced and won't melt. :) Look in Embroidery Favorites amazon.com/shop/powertoolswiththread
@allisondyer62462 жыл бұрын
@@PowerToolsWithThread thank you for your reply. I have used floriani no show mesh, and new brothread no show. I think my problem might be an iron that’s too hot! Duh! I’ve turned it down and am having some success. Have you any experience with muslin instead of mesh for stabilization?

Why not just hoop toliet paper?
@PowerToolsWithThread2 жыл бұрын
The tension of traditional hoops will tear the delicate paper and leave 'hoop burn' around the edges. It's better to float TP when doing this type of embroidery.
