Pp700SA mods

Showing some of the mods I did to my 700.
Shot string at the end of the video is with the regulator at 110 bar, this is the max that I have been able to get out of the 700 so far.

Great video! Another tip if you're going for power is modifying the valve. You want to plug all the holes between it and the breech block that aren't needed with JB weld, and drill a new one that lines up perfectly with the transfer port when closed (straight up). Along with this it is a good idea to expand the hole in the small screw that holds the valve return spring to further promote flow. I have done all the same mods as you but drilled a 6mm hole instead of the 3.5mm all the way through all the parts. In hindsight, making it smaller like you did would have been much easier as I had to make my own way of sealing some parts because I damaged the sealing surfaces when drilling. Regulated to 150bar it makes about 935fps, or 35 ft/lbs with JSB 18.13's

Thanks, I have thought about modifying the valve but wasn't sure how much more power I would get out of it. How many shots per fill are you getting with the higher fps?

@@mtairgunner4044 Actually haven't tested a full shot string yet as I'm still in the process of modifying it, and only fired a few test shots. At 25fpe, before I changed the valve at all I got around 30 shots though. I'd guess 15 or so at 35 fpe. Keep in mind that I also have a longer barrel on it though, so it's always going to be a bit more efficient.

Thankyou, I like the huma regulator but a lot of people get lucky with the stock regulator so if yours is working good you could leave it stock. I wanted to get the most power I could out of it is why I switched to the huma regulator, and also can see what bar you are set at on the regulator. Hopefully this helps

the tube looks thin, how many mm thick is it with how many bar working pressure?

if you drill 1 or 2 holes in the top strap ,and tap srewthread in it ,scrub screws , that way you can get the barrel o ring adjusted thight against the loadingblock, and the barrel is thight . in the receiver also i filed the swalow groove bigger ,so a afjustable rearsight ,millet type ,from a colt 1911 coudls be fitted ,

I just purchased the Artemis PP750. I'm going to modify the gun through internal adjustments and some modifications. I'm just wondering how many shots do you get from your gun once it's modified? I believe standard unmodified 22 caliber is around 50 shots

I have question for you. Do you know where you can get parts for the 700? I need another hammer for my 700 (the striking hammer only). This gun was sold to as new, but I see a lot of indicators that it was used.

Parts are really hard to get for these. I would try contacting wes @ airgunarcheryfun.ca/contact-us/ Send him a message or call him and see if he can help you get a replacement hammer. I ordered mine from krale and they got me some replacement parts but I also bought the gun from them as they use the order number for the replacement parts.

I have to say that your mode is very interesting and I'm strongly considering doing this mod. my present 700 has a few issues that's I need to repair. for some reason my hammer is not resetting so I'm hoping to get some more parts for the trigger group..

Hopefully you can get the parts. I have had the same problem with the hammer not staying back and the company I bought it from was really good about getting me replacement parts. They took a while to get them but only had to pay shipping for them. I think most of the sellers of these guns do really good for customer service from what I have read. Just contact them and hopefully they get you some parts. If you do the mods let me know how they work out for you. There is also a bunch of info on gatewaytoairguns.org and airgunnation.com about these and what people have done to them. They are a blast to shoot and hope you get yours working good 👍

What are you running your reg at? I have a 22 and a 25 convection I bought from Airgun Archery fun in Canada. They are really great guys. My 22 is running like a top at 120-125 shooting AA 16 gr at 600 fps, perfect for my needs. The 22 has an Altaros reg. The 25 has a Huma and I can find the sweet spot with it. I’m going to try the mods you did with the 25.

Sorry, I didn't do a video of bypassing the regulator. If you are adjusting the stock regulator to bypass it, I know some people said they had to switch the beveled washers around in the stock regulator to get it bypassed, or even remove some parts inside the stock regulator. Did you turn the stock regulator adjustment screw clockwise until it wouldn't turn anymore?

@@mtairgunner4044 thanks for replying, I had an issue of it completely not firing, messed around with the reg and finally got it shooting, I removed the screw going through the white washer and into the plunger, restacked the reg washers and now it’s ok, I want to put the Huma in for better constancy and keep to uk power limits (6ftlb for pistol)

MT Airgunner, can you tell me how long have had your Artimes PP700? I think the one that I have has had problems for some time. I'm thinking about getting another one? I purchased this one overseas (Spain) and I really think they sold me a used one it leaked air from day one. when I finally got enough courage to disassemble it, I found metal shaving in the shroud. The bottom line is what kind of longevity can I expect from this airgun. I'm not new to PCP; I have Benjamin, and Hatsan. I've done seal replacements on them with no problems.. Just ask about your experience with your PP700

I have had mine for about 2 1/2 years. So far it has been holding up good. Biggest problem with them that I can tell is how hard it is to find parts for them. The metal shavings in the shroud might of been from when they built it or if they are soft could be pellet shavings. I would clean it up good and run it as long as you can, they are a great shooting pcp pistol for the price.

Also from the factory a lot of these pistols did leak right out of the box. There orings are not the best. So might not of been used.

take the diameter of the inside and thickness of the oring , most nrb 70 are good , buy good o rings , the factory gsg in germany sells those guns under there name , also diana chinese made . parts could they deliver also i gues

I just gutted the old regulator, but bypassing it will work just as good.

I can't remember what the stock size is but on my .22 cal I have it drilled out to .210"

i have drilled the hole to 4 mm with 2,22 gramm pellet its around 22-24 joules

The main regulator is gutted and bypassed. Just running off the huma regulator.
