Mike enjoyed your lecture and illustrations. But why do you stress so much that the pump doesn’t make pressure?? We all know it does make pressure as a function of rpm, system back pressure and pump curve, viscosity, and etc. To your point a pump by itself can no more make pressure than an orifice plate can by itself, so maybe just explaining the main system interactions would give the students a more digestible picture.
