Your tips are spot on. Personally I did 4 exams one day and the next week on another day the other 5 and achieved an average mark of 92.1%. The biggest tip I was given “don’t stress” easy to say I know.

Great to hear you found the video helpful. Good question - you could get a head start by reading the Pooley's books before you start - especially the first book! I would not try any practice exams until you start to fly.

Useful info but from what I,ve heard, the PPL tutor app is now out of date due to the new online exams the CAA introduced back in november. The app itself is incredibly useful, I passed air law with 96%. The practise exams are a major help mostly because they were the actual exam questions but again theres been an update to the exams. The answer is always C..... kinda good strategy for airport types but becareful, B,C and D are very similar.

I have my CAA exam in March and cannot combine preparation with practice due to poor weather conditions at the airfield. I am a bit stressed as I started my first Pooley's book (Flight Training) in September and finished only in November. Now I stuck on Air Law. But I try to start scheduling preparations to 3 hours a day to give me a chance of passing. App is good, I will pay for it once I am done with Air Law.

This is a great time to remember, don’t stress. Learning is a circular process and it usually only comes together at the end. Don’t think, if you’ve given yourself 2 months to cover a course, you’re going to feel like half of it is nailed after a month. Learning and confidence is exponential 👍

the new e-exams are bs i did 4 of them (the rest were paper) and each exam i got 1 or 2 questions that made little to no mention in the Pooley's APM
@FlyWithMarco3 жыл бұрын
Yes I remember finding questions pop up that weren't in the book. That's why it's important to do the practice exams and make sure you're getting at least 80/85% each time - which gives you this small margin for error if a question like this pops up.

How different are the e-exams? I'm dreading the last two I have left: Navigation and Flight Planning because they'll be e-exams!

@@zoyamalik8961 I sat the exams before the e-exams, hopefully Tom can share his experiences!
@tomholmez123 жыл бұрын
@@zoyamalik8961 those two are two of the online ones i did, there were some very weird questions, the questions they asked weren't any more difficult, they were just ones where you pick a bit of information out of your brain and answer the question. on the nav exam the second to last question was asking about a specific type of satellite, GNSS to be specific, so if you didn't know it completely the chances are you would get it wrong. another question was on diversions, it was along the lines of "you divert 2 miles 60 degrees to the left, continue on for X miles then go back to original track by turning 60 degrees for two miles" and asking how long/distance it would be. basically drawing an equalateral triangle with sides of 2nm. I guessed it right in exam but didn't know how to do it after. s TLDR: they dont ask for harder info, it is just more applied
@zoyamalik89613 жыл бұрын
@@tomholmez12 Oh I understand. In the old exams most of the questions were quite similar if not the same to practice questions from the books or Ppltutor. Do you think this is still the case or have they changed the questions quite a bit? Thanks a ton for your reply as well!

nice joke ;) , this was the video I've been looking for a while I downloaded ppl tutor in march however I spent hours on it and slowly started losing interest but I think 10-20 min sessions of revision is what I should have been doing . do you think the AFE revision guides would also help instead of reading the whole of the pooles textbooks?
@FlyWithMarco3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Melissa. My jokes have been getting progressively worse.. Great to hear you've found value from this video. I spent 10 minutes per day on PPL tutor and found this to be about right. I made sure to read the Pooleys book before. There's a lot of information in the books and it's hard to take it all in. I only read one of the AFE revision guides and didn't get that much from it. I found that the Pooley's books combined with PPL tutor gives you everything you need to pass your exams! I hope this helps.
