Hi Marco, thanks for taking the time to share your insight.. really appreciate it. I'm currently studying for PPL/H. and flying at Gloster Airport. Just grappling with the retention of all the information required to know. The plan is to go all the way to CPL/H. I will succeed.. just a matter of time. Thanks once again.

Thanks for the great vids. Really appreciate them. May I ask about your Fly with Marco picture (blue background) on your titles where you had it made please?

Thanks for the feedback Robert! I recently got one designed on fiverr.com. I simply add the title for each new video in my image editing software.

I love the idea of speaking out loud while doing the checks. However, if you find yourself speaking literally everything out loud - get rid of it. I got into this bad habit when flew my first solo - it helped me to concentrate on talking and doing and I didn't really have time to get nervous. And then I kept doing it when flying with instructors :D Obviously it's NOT good. Confident pilots do not talk to themselves out loud :) Also the more you talk, the more chances you let your instructor/examiner know you are doing something wrong before you had time to fix it :) I remember once I counted a completely wrong TAS and wind correction, flew for a bit...then said "oh wait, that wasn't right". If I wasn't talking out loud, the instructor wouldn't even know I made a mistake. Anyway....talk but do not talk too much :) Good luck everyone!

Good point - do what works for you. Sometimes your passengers don't want commentary!

with skills test do you do the planning with/in front of the examiner or do you do it at home?
@FlyWithMarco3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom - it's a good idea to do both. You will have a mock test with your instructor and do some planning with him/her. I also thought about this a lot at home and went through scenarios and visualised things etc.

Hello big fan. Which Epaulets Are PPL Pilots Allowed To Wear? Thanks

That's a good question - I'm not sure. You may get some funny looks though here in the UK!
