I love Canada and Teenage Head. Grew up south of the border, and raised on Canadian radio. That's why I'm so friggen cool today. Breaks my heart that Frankie is gone. I got to hang out with them a few times around this time. It's shocking when your heroes turn out to be such nice guys. Sharing Molsons backstage at the El Mocambo. Priceless.

RIP Gordie Lewis. Had the pleasure of meeting you a few times you were a kind soul and always so accommodating to fans wanting a pic. Teenage Head was one of the best bands of its time and never got the recognition they so deserved. Their stage presence was larger than life, exciting and always a great show. Everyone in Hamilton & beyond knew the great talent you all were and there will never be another band like you. The music is timeless and It's a very sad day knowing I will never again get to hear those greats songs Iive again.

Can't agree with you more as they were under appreciated and they never got their big chance south of the border due to their accident. Least they still get good airplay from my local radio station out of Wingham Ontario.

The constant ringing in my ears may or may not be attributed to the 3 live Teenage Head shows my wife and I saw back in the day in Saskatoon. Don't regret it for a second. Great band. Great music. Great shows.

Same here. I saw them at University of Regina from late 70’s to mid 80’s. Must have been 15+ times. Got to know them. Good guys. Frankie used his popularity to give EVERYBODY a chance. The last gig I had to catch them in Saskatoon. They told me each time they crossed the border to Sask, they would tell new roadies there will be these two guys there (me and my buddy). I still find it hard to accept both Frankie and Gordie are gone.

timeless.......i have seen the best frontman in rock and roll on their good days and bad.....stones 1978 buffalo ...ect.I lucked out and worked at Heatwave in 1980 Frankie and the boys opened the show that morning in august. That morning Frankie was THE BEST frontman i was blessed to see.....unreal really ! Years later in the early 90s i was out bar hopping and found myself at the Greeks in Kensington market.I was sitting at the bar alone on a summer morning like a good alcoholic does at 11 am in Toronto .I go to the can downstairs almost hit my head and head back to see where the day will take me.There is now a guy next to me on the next stool , i cant place the guy , and then i realize its Frankie.I worked with you once i said , no you didnt Frankie says , heatwave in 1980 you took to long for the sound check , ya you did Frankie says.I have seen the best frontman in rock and roll , that day in august 1980 you hit your mark and were the best i had ever seen.......we sat quietly and the Bare Naked Ladies were playing on the radio .Frankie looked at me and said "whats that shit" ,rest in peace Frankie......i havent had a drink since 1994 and realize there is good timieing and bad............Thanks for the memories......
