Such an underrated band back in the day. I remember discovering them via an alternative rock station in Buffalo. Went out and bought "Frantic City" shortly after. Great LP.

They use to play at a place in Lockport kind of frequently back in the day. Durf’s Roadhouse.

@@waynemagyar6001 If I remember (well that is a stretch at my age and so on and so forth.. LOL) I saw them at "Breakers" in Washington State! Such an easy go as only minutes from Vancouver BC. Breakers at Pt. Roberts had some fantastic live acts. It was surreal. Take good care.

I saw them live in London Ontario with a kids band that opened and both were awesome. Great show!

Frankie was an innate trendsetter, forging his unique style. Every subtle move he made was distinctly his own. He exuded captivating charm, keeping spectators guessing with each unpredictable action. Those fortunate enough to know him carry an indelible mark left by his presence. Gord, a gentle spirit, never encroached upon others. Steve, a silent force, awaited his moment to convey his essence. Dave, a compassionate and amiable individual, graced us with his presence. It was an absolute joy to have crossed paths with each and every one of them.

Well said. The entire band gave it their "all" for each show. Take care and enjoy!

So well put. Grew up watching these guys in the Hammer, you showed up to see what Frankie was gonna do next & how Gordie set him up to do it. Great times!

Thanks very much for this. I saw this band twice and they were fantastic. The energy was "Off the Wall" so to speak as I was living in California before coming back to Canada. We need more bands like this. Especially now with all the BS Autotune and Disney Crap. LOL; Not dissing anyone who is a "musician", however, at this time things were relatively "RAW". Just great.

Saw Teenage Head for the first time at O'Neill Collegiate in Oshawa back in 79/80. Frankie shared a drink from a "mickey" brought by one of the kids. Good times!!

The Teenage Head (RIP Gordo) and The Kings... Ah to be a teenager in Canada in 1980. Living the music instead of dodging school sh00ters while listening to CRAP.

These guys from Hamilton took Punk, Ska and Metal, doused it in gasoline and lit a match. They played my high school in Toronto twice and the whole school WENT NUTS!!! When I had bands back in my high school days, this song ALWAYS got the whole audience on their feet and FREAKING OUT!

This might have been around Ontario Place riot era (?) I'm not getting the stoned vibe as commented. Toronto / Hamilton punk bands didnt make unnecessary moves onstage. The power of cranked vintage Marshalls did all the movement...
@jestermindcrime17735 жыл бұрын
I was at the riot , we got bused in by TEENAGE HEAD from Hamilton , the band wanted to make sure it was packed ,,lmao kinda backfired but was a blast,,but that was June 2 1980, if you watch Gord , and you mention he or the band wasn't moving much , he got into a serious car crash in , around Sept of 1980, and had to wear a special body cast cause he kinda fractured his back, I saw an interview with him on the NEW MUSIC, cast didn't look like fun ,,,hehe ONTARIO PLACE RIOT and a cpl months later ALICE COOPER RIOT ,,was a fun time to be a teenager in TORONTO back then
