One of the nicest break barrel springers ever made and some of the best off hand shooting with it..well done

Nice straight shooter man. Those German breakbarrels can't be beat

Cool. I'll paint some silhouettes white and pretend I'm Outside 😮. Fiber site 😮 Good fun.

Excellent off hand shooting. You need to tie bright red string on those targets to find them in the snow.

That was damn good off hand shooting buddy 😁👌That little rifle is one of my favorites from your collection. I like the Air King, the Webley and the Norica too but the wood and steel with the slime stock and dead on precision makes it for me a winner. Great rifle to carry whole day in the woods too. A shame Diana don't produce them anymore. Think the HW50s will be a good alternative. Cheers!

@@rapalaron6348 Thanks! I’ve just been goofing around lately and focusing on shooting open sights offhand. 😀 It is a slim feeling airgun. A bit long compared to some of my other guns which is probably why it doesn’t feel as handy. I was just looking and they offer the model 34 EMS which looks pretty similar to my 36. I don’t care for the gaudy plastic front sight though. 🤮 HW50 looks a lot more similar to my ‘85 model 36. The pricing is similar. I’m guessing Diana went for more power with the 34 EMS but I’d choose the HW50 is I was looking to buy.

I have the same air rifle. Had the shallow grooves in the receiver and the straight safety blade. I think it was $99 back then. Very accurate and easy to shoot.

I’ve been looking for a 1985 Beeman catalog online as I don’t remember what I paid for the gun brand new. I just remember it was really expensive for me at the time. I just used inflation calculator and $99 in ‘85 would’ve been $296 in todays money. Dang! That was a ton of money for me at the time.

I was 12 or 13 when I got mine too, I remember being very frustrated with the accuracy at first since my previous gun was co2 but my dad helped me figure out the springer👍

I remember getting frustrated with mine as well when I first got it. I rarely ever shot it particularly well, thinking about it now, I bet that’s why I kept buying different guns. 😆 I had pneumatics before this model 36 and preferred their shooting feel over this Diana. In making videos for the channel, I rediscovered that. Initially when shooting a springer, it’s not the most pleasant experience. But if you let yourself get used to it, then you don’t notice the recoil (as much).

@@airgunsofalaska I really should have tried other airguns too the town hunting store had some nice ones, but my boomer elders had me convinced "all the guns a man could ever want are a deer rifle, a .22 for the little stuff, and maybe a pellet gun for practice. Shotguns are just for people who can't aim" so it took me a while to think outside that box😄I think it took me a good 5yrs to be as good with my 34 as I'd been with my Crosman co2.

I’m definitely adding strings to them the next time I shoot. They are hard to find in freshly fallen snow!

@ Yes fortunately, it was close to where I first looked in the snow on the video. I was glad as I’d just bought those two new packs of silhouettes. 😀

Right!? 😆 I HATE AUTO SAFETY! I’ve disconnected it on a few of my other springers. I didn’t look closely at this one if it was easy to do when I had the stock off.
