"Practical Arrangement" is a song from the eleventh studio album of Sting (ex The Police) called The Last Ship (2013). It contains songs written for and inspired by the musical The Last Ship. The album title is an allusion to the closure of the shipyards in the historic shipbuilding town of Wallsend, where Sting grew up. The song is an appeal by a man to his somewhat reluctant love interest for a romantic yet practical living arrangement that could potentially work for the couple. This is the duet version with the perspective of the love interest single mother sung by Australian singer Jo Lawry and appears on the super deluxe package bonus disc version of The Last Ship. The song was written by Sting and Rob Mathes.
