Despite trying to find a way to let them teach me, health problems have become my main hinderance it seems (with finances and vocation a close second) Compared to your ordeals, Damien - my challenges are dwarfed. But I am desperate to find a way to use them to fuel my growth (and heal my body). I usually subscribe to the notion that whatever is in your life, is the most relevant lesson you need (life experiences as mirrors etc) I may be wrong, but I usually try to put my issues centre stage, to use as rocket fuel in transformation - but I worry that might be letting them dictate my actions.

I just want to say HOW MUCH THIS HELPED ME! Today I did the Qabbalistic shielding and it shifted my energy immediately. I do the LBRP and Middle Pillar regularly. But for some reason this changed my energy in a new way, maybe because it is repairing the aura? Anyways, I had been depressed for months and this lifted me right out when nothing else could. I’ve been changing gut health, exercising, trying to change limiting behaviors, all of which slightly helped. I went for a walk today and things were more vivid to me, (you know how everything feels so gray in depression) I feel lifted out of the darkness, after one time! I have not felt this clarity in MONTHS!! I was not expecting this from shielding! I will be doing this everyday from now on. I believe Magick is a powerful way to self regulate your emotions.

Those drawings aren't from the Goetia (i.e Lemegeton) they're from De Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal. Mathers later poached many of them for his rendition of the Lesser Key, but De Plancy is the original source (and a recent one at that, circa 1818).

Also, adequate water helps the stomach lining. But not while eating! Between meals, 90 minutes before or after eating (or longer) drink 500 ml -1 liter of water. Most people don’t know this, but any small amount of dehydration not only can cause headaches, but can cause low back pain AND the stomach lining suffers. The stomach lining needs much water. Find a way to hydrate with 2L H2O daily and these problems can be helped greatly. I am a nurse and work with mostly people suffering with metabolic diseases, and if we could just get a grip on our hydration, plus cut out the sugar and processed foods we will age so much more healthier. But alas, I also know that long-term malnutrition has its own side effects. Good filtered water in adequate amounts is a great way to help ourselves.

I tried this for the first time today before going to the gym. I was skeptical, I won’t lie, but I was taken aback at how effective the shield was! I did the simple version, only using 10 layers of white light, and I felt little to no anxiety! I was actually able to relax and take my time with my workout, whereas I’m usually rushing to get home. I’m going to try the advanced shield next. Damien, thank you so much 🙏 I bought High Magick recently and I’m going to start doing the practice outlined in there too. Just a comment on the shielding. My experience is, that pentagrams are the best shields. At least, when it comes to witch wars, that we a bit of here in Denmark. Normal shields are for the day to day interaction with people, pentagrams are, to my experience the best shield against malignant magic someone throws at you. So my solution has been, to COMBINE shielding with pentagrams, I make a shield covered with pentagrams. In that way, if someone decides to throw a hex against you, you are equally protected as you are against peoples normal energy.

I use your shielding technique it works for me in multiple areas of my life I've had so much deflection of negative energies but i believe it's because I keep a daily routine with it. I'm going through some heavy warefare with family + some people from my past. Is there any other techniques books or videos you already have you could point me towards shielding not just me but 2 other people I care enough about that I could place a shield over them. I don't have any friends & my family are some high level occultists I've had to learn to protect myself against so my partner gets attacked frequently and his mother is suffering as well. It's an attack on my foundation in my 2nd,4th,8th house to be specific. Any advice you could give me is appreciated I value the things have learned through your teachings.

Quick comment regarding the topic of overcoming fear(s). Education, absolutely. Also, finding a meaningful model to use as positive exposure to understand and overcome the fear can be helpful as well. For example, I used to be terrified of snakes. As a teenager, I worked at a pet store and met this kid who handled snakes casually and comfortably, like it was no big deal. After being around that kid for a month or two I was able to handle the snakes in our pet store and although I’ve never completely lost that particular fear, I have a different understanding and the fear is not nearly as potent. It’s still there but it’s manageable and not as menacing and damaging as it once was before I worked with the pet shop kid. Another more unexpected effect is that overcoming fear can actually be energizing. I’m sure Damian knows more about how that works. I’ve just noticed that it happens for some reason which I don’t completely understand. For me, overcoming a particular fear strengthens other areas of weakness which I did not even notice until after the fear is sort of resolved or at least feels less threatening. Just some thoughts. I enjoyed listening to this topic about ‘shielding’ a lot. Thank you.

Hi Damien, I love your work. Even though I have been practicing magic since the early 80s, I still find much to learn today and have learned much from your videos. With that said, however, I just want to mention that it may not have been a good idea to draw cards from the Occult Tatot deck to show your viewers. As it states in the item description on Amazon for the cards "The invocations are activated by the simple act of turning or otherwise moving the cards, similar to the way Tibetan prayer wheels and flags send prayers rippling through the world." If that's true then you may have just invoked those demons into you and possibly your viewers before you even taught them how to shield themselves. I don't judge anyone who practices the Goetia but it is not something to be trifled with. It's dangerous, like swimming with sharks or climbing Mount Everest, so you certainly don't want to do it without protections in place. I'm sure everyone will be okay but I just wanted to put that out there.

You've u really helped me learn so much with getting started with all this, a lot of this information is wrongfully safeguarded and u bringing it to the people like Crowly is amazing. Theres still so much I've yet to understand yet. I'm more familiar with eastern traditions. So my question though is about the acknowledging and conversation of the HGA. I believe I may have experienced this or something similar. On one of my last acid trips I received a message from something higher than myself, but within me. More like I realized thoughts are not out own but given to us, so my thoughts spoke to me from a higher plane. They gave me a message that could be read in many ways, somewhat of a code. It was a message about the essence of creation, of art, as it came out it was almost in the form of poetry, I was, as god, creating a message about creation. Almost like the story of god creating the universe but it was me creating poetry and there was no difference. I was in a loophole of ecstatic gnosis, writing new words and phrases that all led back to same thing, creation. There was only the moment. As there really only is. What do you make of this? Ok so the "demons" in the goetia are daimons. Daimon is the greek word for spirit & they could be good or bad. Daimons are not concepts or powers that can be invoked, they are actual beings that exist here on this planet & are essentially the same as djinn. Most do not like being around people & inhabit out of the way places. This is the reason for the classic haunted house image where you envision some old abandoned building inhabited by spirits. Also, the Golden Dawn system of magic is not the same as the old grimoiric systems. Both use theurgy to attain results but the ancient systems were much more universal. Using the neoplatonic cosmic scheme for Golden Dawn magic may be doable but it's not ideal. I would recommend studying the magus by Barret & take EVERYTHING he says to heart. You'll need to study Aristotle though to understand their world view because it was based off of natural philosophy.

Barret's Magus is almost entirely composed of selections of Agrippa's 3 Books of Occult Philosophy and the pseudepigraphic Fourth Book. Donald Tyson's edition of Agrippa contains a through introduction, annotations, and works cited, that will help a reader not versed in Greek and Roman classics. I believe it is a much better one to read to gain understanding of these subjects. It generally easier to find as well.

@@ianlilley9542 while it's true that a large part of the magus is composed of the 3 books & 4th book, Barret purposefully selected those for instruction. Barret readily admits in the preface that he has purchased the best books on the subject that he could find & that his book is a selection of the important parts. This points to the value of Barrett's book because it's separating the wheat from the chaff. Not only that but Barrett includes his own experimentations & directs you how to study the material. Further, there are sections in the magus on alchemy & animal magnetism. The section on animal magnetism is unique & points to what modern magicians call the etheric level & more importantly, how to use it. Although the whole book when used is initiatory in nature, the alchemical section in particular is there to guide the sincere student into a radical transformation that literally gives them the key to the kingdom. Renaissance magic & the grimoires are theurgic in nature & without practicing theurgy, you cannot make proper use of them. I know all of this because I'm in the process of making a modern English version of the magus that makes everything perfectly clear so that you don't have to guess at meanings. The magus is the true key to properly using the grimoires. I have discovered things about renaissance magic by studying the text the the vast majority of folks in the occult community have no clue about. I'm going to try & have the book published before the end of the year but it's slow going because along with updating the language, I have to update the sentence & paragraph structure.

Until your book comes out to help others probe the secrets, folks that do not have the energy or commitment to read Aristotle et al but reading KZbin comments for suggestions may find Tyson's annotations of Agrippa a good substitute for now. Just trying to help folks that may be compiling reading lists.

@@ianlilley9542 you have to realise that during Barrett's time, access to occult literature was very limited unlike today. But you hit the nail on the head with regards to Aristotle at al because you do indeed have to have a firm grasp of the material in order to properly understand natural magic which is the basis for celestial & intelligible magic. However, once you do, all the quandary about getting rare materials for the operations goes away because substitution becomes easy. It also engenders a holistic worldview that even the Golden Dawn's use of the tree of life can't match. I do believe the tree of life & the neoplatonic world schema was used in conjunction with one another.
