@@trufflenationschool Tried makimg this recipe. But even after beating for 10 minutes the mixture is too tight and sticky. Did I miss anything? Do I have mix anything else. It gave me a nightmare 😞

@@priyamkashyap885I'm guessing it will depend on the type of shortening used. I've found some are much softer than others. Experiment with a different shortening or a simple margarine and see if it's less tight!

i would advise to just look up a recipe for buttercream rather than trying to alter this one to be edible. this does not have the proper ingredients to be tasty, it is just similar in texture so it can be practiced with.

As this is a practice buttercream the whole point is to make a frosting that has a longer shelf life and is cost effective, using butter will make it a normal buttercream
