Practice Day for the Golden Egg Race At Magnolia

We headed down to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, MS for the Annual Golden Egg Street Stock Race. After making a few changes on our car from what we learned the first night, I felt like the car was much better during the practice round. This episode focuses on us headed down to the track for practice and getting a few runs in. This race is dual sanctioned for both Crate Racin Street Stock and also the Mississippi Street Stock Series.

Car looking good, one thing I noticed was on your first run the 13 car is one of local guys Hank Taylor. From the reports we’re getting he is fast. We finally got our car handling the way we expected last night, one big difference is on our cars bite makes our cars tight or push like it did last week. Heading to get parts to fix some damage this morning, got taken out while marching forward. Good luck

Nice job, sipes don’t over do it because you can’t undo them , more sipe may overheat RR tire in the slick.

Rule on the deck height is 40” max no +/- from bottom of spoiler to the ground . Doesn’t say anything about the driver in the car and can be measured any time . Good luck

I was on a 600 there and honestly if my setup had been better at carrying speed I could have been faster on a 583. That track was pretty awesome to be full black ice.

I built the car just to run the big shows where there are a lot of laps and the track is always blister dry slick. Honestly, I may go even softer on the front, Still working through it in my mind.

i measure ride height differently than you on front i measurefrom bottom of frame rail to top of bottom a frame on rear i measure from top of axel tube to bottom of frame rail once i get set like i want i fix a go no go gauge from small round rod for quick spot check tire size air pressure or hole in pit area parking dosent effect this way as measuring from ground

So I didn’t realize you was running tracks that big when I suggested a lighter spring the track you practiced at first would like it but not these big tracks but you’re tight entry looks like some driver in put you’re not turning the wheel down into the corner you can see it in the video the lap you did it didn’t push also enter a little deeper
