Your marketing mix needs to be based / applied to the case study business and its market. Don't write a marketing mix that can be about any old business

Anything you think is useful from the research pack + headings etc. Only thing that is not allowed is pre-prepared marketing plans or budgets - which are useless anyway since you need to learn more about the case study business from Part B

Service business is just like goods. Apply the same principles in terms of marketing mix etc. The extra 3Ps come into play a little more in terms of physical enviroment, process and people

My teacher said notes shoulf include: Your notes SHOULD include: • useful theories and marketing concepts that you might find difficult to remember. Eg: pricing strategies, SWOT, PESTLE, 7 P’s. •Key trends that you’ve identified from the research in Part A eg % increases and summarise the findings. •Annotate Part A research picking out key points that will be useful in a SWOT and PESTLE •Notes on what a good marketing message should contain. •Key factors to consider when deciding on the type of media to use. •Subheadings that you wish to remember to help you structure the reports •A template that helps you to organise your notes.

I have a question: If someone in this exam gets a pass, can the student resit the exam even though they've passed to get a Distinction?

Yes you can!

you can retake the exam once if you get lower than your first grade you will automatically be given the grade which you got higher on as your grade

Lizzy is correct. The research pack has some example numbers you can use depending on which promotional methods you choose. You can also bring in your own numbers for any relevant campaign.

Absolutely! You can choose any two models you wish. Most students use SWOT and PESTLE. An increasing number of students are replacing PESTEL with PLC, but it is entirely up to you.

Just get a better feel for the product. How is the product promoted? What price? Are certain customers targeted? Who are the main competitors, brands etc

Unlikely. you need to make reference to at least some of the other 3Ps, particularly if the business is a service business, since factors such as the PEOPLE delivering the service, the PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT etc need to be explained in terms of the marketing mix

Part A (Wed) where you get to look at the research pack, is in the afternoon. Part B (Thursday) is the 3 hours when you write your two documents in the exam
