Hi Guys,
Starting a new series of video which will allow you to practice answering the ROR cards used by examiners in your oral examination.

Regarding the slide on the head-on with the FV working purse seine gear, you say that you alter to stbd, as that is what you do in a head-on situation. However, rule 14 only applies to PDVs meeting, your obligation as a PDV meeting a FV is to keep clear, so an alteration to port would be fine if the situation merited it.

Hello sir , i have one doubt when you showed a dredger which obstruction was on port side seen from port side your action was to alter stbd. Please explain

As it's a crossing situation as per colregs. You must pass astern of the dredger as it makes you the give way vessel.

white over red indicates a pilot vessel

If u talk about last card it indicates vessel is hauling nets....but if u see that white over red in top not in middle as u seen in last card it indicate pilot vessel 😇

Why was the vessel with over 200m tow; 50m or more @ 6:52 when its still one separate white light? As previous there was one single white light but two white lights in a vertical line which means its a tow of less than 200 but 3 white lights means over 200m. Basically what makes the difference for the towing vessel size? I.e 50 m more or less than 50m?

Basically for towing vessels.....two vertical white light on masthead is used ...now we can see there are three vertical white light which indicates that the tow extends 200 m or more and the other masthead light at forward indicates that the lenght of vessel is 50m or more...if not then it is less than 50m..

Yeah even am not understanding why two vertical white light have been used in the forward portion in 5:09 ??? If the vessel is seen from port side ...its showing the two on foremast and lower. Yeah man ??? But in the card of @6:52 the lights are shown three lights are at afterwards.... of ship and higher ...don't know man

Please don't just read what's already written on the back of the card. Some more details would be helpful. Like in the second card u displayed how you came to identify it as dredger. 😇
