I agree with Kaya's sentiment. You will have to sacrifice to be your own person. But sacrifice what? Attention and belonging to the click, the tribe, the mob? If you can't make it on your own, then do whatever you have to do, and whatever you can stand. But once you get in with the crowd, you have to obey their rules. It's been this way with human beings ever since we evolved. Every evolutionary cousin of ours probably did the same. Bird flocks. Schools of fish. Herds of herbivorous mammals. They probably all have their own rule of behavior that the group must follow, or be cast out.
