This is great! Thank you, Luca. Did you use a tool for this or just a really great note-taker? 😀
@LucaKouwenhoven8 ай бұрын
@@PragmaticWorks No tools, just noticed mid-session this morning that there weren't any chapters so went back to the start, went through what I'd seen noting timestamps on my phone for decent chapter separation, thought of the titles in addition to the one in the session and then finished the rest while noting timestamps all the way to the end ^^ And then wrote the comment on my computer using my notes ^^ Happy to see that you already incorporated them in the session itself ^^ Also thanks for all the content recorded on YT, I've been able to learn a lot about Power BI, data modeling and analysis in a short amount of time for my internship !

Sir, I did not understand the Running Total Sales (m) at 20:00. If you say 'Date'[Date]
@PragmaticWorks3 ай бұрын
The Calculated measure will return the total sales for ALL days in the date table before the MAX date in the filter context. The visual calculation is different because it's based off the data in the visual itself, and in this scenario the visual calculation is filtered down to the year 2007. Hope that helps! -Mitchell Pearson

Is there a library of Visual Calculations and the arguments they take? Example [14:33] how do you know the [Axis] argument takes ROWS as one of its options. Unless I saw this tutorial I'd have to do a web search on it.

Hello. I have the September 2024 version of Power BI and do not have the option to enable the visuals.

I have a column sales[agent] and a measure [Total sales], I tried "Running Sum" but it is sorted by sales[agent] column and can't be sorted by [total sales] measure, any option!!
@AlaaMarriott7 ай бұрын
Smart tip using Format function, but if we sorted it will sorted as text not numeric, do you have a recommendation ?

Thanks for the video! ¿Migh It be the case that the button "New Calculation" in the section "Calculation" doesn't exist? ¿Or maybe I have a new or old version of power bi, and that's why It might be the case that I cannot see the button? thanks you!

Hey! You may have jumped ahead just a bit, I talk about how to enable this feature around 3 minutes into the video, you do need to have atleast February 2024 or later! 😀

I've downloaded the files through the link above (Student files) but the content of the files is about "Copilot for Microsoft 365 Workshop" not "Visual Calculations in Power BI - DAX ". Please, how can I get the right files?

Great video. I just don't get how this is easier then regular DAX. Its both equally hard / easy in my opinion.
