Great video😊... I'm Czech, born in Moravia, I used to live in Prague for 3 years, my favourite place was Letná beer garden with great view on the city.;) ... It took me a long time to visit a museum, but once a year, there's a museum night in Prague, free entrance and transport between museums... I was really pleasantly surprised with National Museum on Václavské náměstí (the one with the horse), I was expecting paintings and statues and I've got dinosaurs and space rocks... 👍 Technical museum is also great ... Petřín tower is kinda of small replica of Eiffel tower but definitely worth visiting too... It's not a tourist attraction but some people might find it interesting, Páter Noster elevators, the unique ones, that never stop, you just jump in and jump off, no doors, no stops, there are many of them, one is in city center Palác YMCA, Na Poříčí 12, Praha 1. I would also recommend visit Karlštejn castle, it's 40 minutes from Prague with a train.

I really miss having the 2 top Czech dishes namely Svíčková and Hovězí Guláš. Delicious hearty dishes - some of the best European food (for me). Also love the open-faced sandwiches Chlebíčky - get some and head to the Franciscan Garden. I ignore all the Thai, Viet, Korean, Italian, fast food chains (Dominos just opened one in Prague..@#/!) etc restaurants which have mushroomed like crazy these past few years. No, when I visit Prague it has to be only the delicious Czech dishes and pastries/desserts.

Amazing video! I've seen tons of travel videos/guides of Prague and this is my favorite. Really good insight and I like how you were honest and also sharing the not-so-great experiences. I've been to Prague many times and I can agree on everything you mentioned on this video. I also love Prague for the same reason that it's small but offers so much and is fun to get lost in. I love how you can just go to the old town square or charles bridge and just start walking to any direction and you always find something interesting. Versus cities like Budapest or Paris where I feel you kinda have to scout the interesting places beforehand to get the most out of the city.

@@danachill Also, you surprised me very much with the fact that Prague has very few places where you can get high quality coffee. Maybe because beer is so much more the prefered choice of Czechs ?! I mean Starbucks is shit for tourists but surely many tourists like to get some quality coffee.
@danachill
@danachill 7 ай бұрын
@@krakatit7730 Nope, Ukraine is pretty progressive in a lot of senses, a lot of business moved or scaled up and opened up the cafes/ restaurants abroad too, especially after the start of the war. And Prague has quite a lot of the good 5th wave coffee places, but mostly not in the touristic city center. And same goes for the restaurants🙃 there’s quite a few that are good, but we mostly had the best meals when we went a bit out of the main city center. But that’s a common problem in touristy cities, same goes for Paris

Better is to withdraw Czech crowns from ATM with some spot rate cards or Revolut card. Most exchanges in Prague will give you a terrible exchange rate even they claim zero commision. Check Google first what is actual exchange rate and compare it what they offer you at exchanges.
@danachill
@danachill Жыл бұрын
The problem is that I’ve seen that some tourists have experiences scam ATMs that steal money on your card. That’s why I also didn’t recommend this way + you mostly don’t need much cash and can easily pay with credit card so it’s not that huge difference

I wonder what you really did do during your seven day stay in Prague? 95 percent of the sights you're showing are on the TripAdvisor Top 10 list, nothing secret, nothing new but all common to each and every tourist. Your "program" can be easely done in 2-3 days. Nothing outside of the tourists racing track. What have you explored the rest of your stay?? And there is a reason why Trdelnik is available only alongside the beforementioned tourists racing track. It's crap, made only for tourists and far far away from being traditional Czech. Nö native Czech would eat it. Besides this, nice pictures and a good technical quality.
