Rajas,sattva and Tamas has got to do with the nature of the deity, not the deity s actions (as pom pommed by vaishnavas), Ugra Narasimham is indeed Tamasik deity Like God Shiva In cosmology, and in quantum physics dark energy and dark matter are the sources of Creation, I.e From Tamasik source Energy(in macro scale) everything originates and returns back, Also ALL the danavas were not Asuras, Danavas @times were better than Devas.
