Amazed at how well you can grow brassicas throughout the summer months!

I think our cool nights help. The netting also might help shade the plants a bit.

I'm 6a Mid Ohio and we're having a very dry late summer for last 4 weeks and my tomatoes are showing it a few died but I've had a cover crop of sunflower and for the third time that method is definitely tops.as you my Terracotta are smaller and overall al my tomatoes and Black Krim is my main crop without regrets they are good in my garden. Thanks for showing and inspiring

Howdy, Prairie Plantgirl and handsome Buster!👋 Is that a hornworm moth? Beautiful wax beans. Wow, nice broccoli!👍Sweet peppers! Yummy looking potatoes! Great harvest!😃 I hope your kids have a wonderful school year. It is lovely to spend time on a walk with family and fur babies. You had a good workout that day. We have an early cool down...in the low 90s! Feels great! 💃🏽 💕

That was a hornworm moth. I don’t see them very often here. It turned into a productive day in the yard and I spent quality time with family. That is always a good day to me.

You had rain and we had such extreme heat in Wisconsin. Sunday-Wednesday the dew points were in the upper 70s and Tuesday reached 100*F with real feel of 116*F-it was like a swamp and Totally abnormal for us. We can be humid but this was suffocating and nights stayed in mid 70s. So happy it’s leaving as being stuck inside in summer is ridiculous. The Beans! Lol, I have so many purple pole beans and I couldn’t go out every day because of heat and humidity and some were baseball bats. Struggling to keep fall plantings cool. It’s been a great pepper year for sure. They are turning red now and have to keep tying up branches. Need to go collect some flower seeds before the chickadees eat them all. Nice harvest! Snapdragons look great!

It is very difficult to be stuck inside when the garden is calling to you. We started the month hot and dry and ended with a lot of moisture here. Great reminder about seed collecting!

Wonderful harvest, I'm so jealous. my main harvest now is beans and tomatoes. I've got a few Black Krim that are looking wonderful, I picked a few. The dwarf beans are being hammered with slugs, the tall ones not so much. The runners I'm growing are for drying for use in Winter. I'm so fed up with the slugs that I placed an order for 3 deliveries of Nemaslug over the next year starting this month. I can't plant anything without them destroying them before they get a chance to grow... Let battle commence!!!

Slugs are a difficult pest. They come out while you sleep and eat all your hard work. We are normally fairly dry here and the slugs are relatively small compared to what I’ve seen in other parts of the world. I’ve collected more than average this year.
