You can wipe out 5 Knight Paladins using 1 Thousand Sons Whirlwind, 2 Rubric Marine Squads, and 1 Thousand Sons Predator with lascannons. (I got cranky in a survival match and attacked back, causing mass spawn of ultimate units.)

There's actually a discord with a small online community with both pve and pvp for unification. Very fun.

in a small map you can rush really well. get warrior first and run to the enemy. kill a worker or a view models and run back before memory is out...repeat. built 1 haspit and servitor to cap and get the builder hero to reinforce your warrior. get a turret in the enemies base and there you go.

That sounds like the ultimate cheese. Also, if the enemy counters/survives it, you are probally screwed.

So I admit I don't have the mod so take this with a grain of salt. You note that the units are bad alot but from your use of and outfitting of the skitari I'd ask if you may have used them incorrectly. I'm not being a dick, I love RTS games and just want to help where I can. Try making use of the units that you don't particularly like because they have a pretty good reason to be on the field more often than not. Also try and make better use of your squad cap, I've watched a few vids about unification on your channel and you should try to keep a larger reserve so you don't need to lose control of the field when a charge is employed. Well actually kinda wrong you can use Warriors and your commanders. Youyr commanders get chants of revial. Warriors are really good harasssing units early and are frankly really broken Hell stalkers are really goood ( i will say they do nead a health buff) as DS units in enemy hq's pair the three of em up with an arrch magos (he gets an bombardment ability that can do a lot of disruption and does good damage against infantry types and some vehicles) and bam hq gone. Praetorians snipers and support praetorians are insanely good The melleee and shield ones suck think they getting buffed, . On top of that the hell stalkers get an upgrade later on that makes it an orbital bombardment artilery sort of.. . any way its SUpa strong. BONUS AUTOMATONS you need to attach SERVO SKULLS to the squaded units ex praetorians ,and Visitors Just saying if you're going to do a review make sure you check everything. You really should do a PVP stream one of these days! It'd bring a lot of recognition and I;m sure the community for DoW would find it really enjoyable!

@@firmak2 They just micro and macro intensive if you're coming playing this game for the first time yeah they're weak. But if you've been playing the game vanila soulstorm and on top of playing the mod (not saying that you need to play vanilla ss seen peoople who just got the game got good) . They're really good. Try playing with people in the Unification Mod Discord. Their are games there practically everyday.

I'm a sucker for Micro-intensive gameplay, even praised that in the video. But combined with their many weaknesses and actually low returns, they are weaker than most if not all other factions. If you would have an ultimate minmaxed pro of any faction fight an ultimate minmaxed pro of this faction, i'd always place my bets on the non-Mechanicus. That said, of course, if you have a pro fight a medicore player, the Mechanicus pro would still most likely win. Heck, i'd probably beat most players without knowing the cheese-tactics. I did beat Insane-AI Nids here after all. The Faction isn't bad, they just suck... if that makes any sense, lol. And just for reference, this recording was only my 3rd go with the faction.
