Iceland is actually one of the few areas that don't get mosquitoes.
@PravusGaming8 жыл бұрын
What species would that be? I'm only familiar with the more common species which will hibernate in cold temperatures.
@meldresser63808 жыл бұрын
Pravus Gaming They're just more aggressive mosquitoes. (They kill baby calves) Some people call them gallinippers though. You have to be careful though, because if you catch one, you have to clench your hand so hard you skin would break, so the mosquito doesn't survive, because their bites hurt so bad.

Four species of Plasmodium are involved: P. falciparum, P. ovale, P. vivax, and P. malariae. Incidentally, where malaria is endemic, the human body adapted certain scorched-earth tactics, which is why sickle cell anemia and G6PD deficiency are things.

And if hypoglycemia is a malaria symptom I will end up very confused. I am diabetic so hypos do sometimes happen with me. For those who don't understand it from Pravus' brief "explanation", it's when a person's blood sugar reaches levels of 3.9 or less. A severe hypo is when a person's blood sugar reaches levels of less than 1.5 (I think). Treatment includes anything sugary, or with simple carbohydrates, except chocolate. I can't remember why but chocolate doesn't count. If the person suffering is diabetic ,which they most likely will be, and on injections, then they will follow the sugary item up with something with complex carbohydrates, like a sandwich. Yes, I checked the spelling and it is correct. I am also a bit of a "Grammar Nazi" . This is apparently because I am a Virgo. I really hope that I didn't make any major mistakes with the grammar though Pravus. Sorry if I did.
