Nooo not Paul the house stealer! BTW I love how much attention you give to the individual people living in your town, usually the Banished playthroughs I watch or the way I play it I never really pay attention to the people living in it (and neither do the gamers I watch). This is more personal and very entertaining. Thank you sir for some quality content!

Because worrying about individuals is utterly pointless. You cannot control peeps on a personal level. I came across this new Cardiff series and realized quickly why I didn't remember it all that well, it's because I didn't watch it very much. Every damn video has him obsessing over ages and who is with who.... dude needs to play a voyeur game of some kind to get that out his system and then come back to Banished.

You have 20 houses and 34 families - I think you REALLY need to expand.
@rasaecnai7 жыл бұрын
For me, 2 houses every year early on and 3-4 mid game and basically you can go bananas when you have set up your farms and can support huge population. It all depend on the food production and surplus every year.

Most underrated KZbinr? Yes. Criminally even, literally all off your content is good and I find myself going back to watch old playthroughs all the time while waiting for the new playthrough uploads

Also finally releasing the trader at the end was so funny 🤣❤️ "say hi to the wife and kids for me"

You have an aging population and a ton of food, there is literally no risk to expanding housing and population growth. You should do that ASAP before the death spiral comes! You know it will and you say so yourself in the video but you don't do much about it!
@rasaecnai7 жыл бұрын
I used the stable population mod or the disease overhaul mod to avoid the death spiral. It makes the gameplay make more sense because in real life people have variable age when they die

I know I'm about a year and a half late to the party, but I think this is my favorite series of Banished thus far - the mod alone is mindblowingly amazing!

Bronze tools would actually be better than Iron tools, as bronze is an objectively stronger metal, The only reason we shifted to Iron was because it was more plentiful, and far more malleable
@hamptonhansen64987 жыл бұрын
Iron is slightly stronger than bronze and when infused with carbon hugely so, bronze is the more plentiful and vastly more malleable metal.
@RaithSienar7 жыл бұрын
hampton hansen Bronze is an alloy made of copper and tin. It is not remotely plentiful since it does not exist in nature.

Lol, the thought of using coke for house heating is ridiculous unless they plan cook themselves in it or smelt the whole house. And besides, ain't coke common fuel for furnaces anyway? Why is there a need to process it?

There should be some sort of economy in banished like how people get money from their job and certain jobs like being a priests pays a lot while being a hunter has quite poor pay i don't know it just seems like a good idea
@B0tAcH17 жыл бұрын
I disagree. Banish is more of a colony/resource management instead of a city builder/management. The "objective" of the game is to only survive as long as possible, not much of making a thriving economy. But hey, there may be mods for that but there are games that do those better already so why bother.
@MotoAtheist6 жыл бұрын
That's the oddball part of Mods in Banished. The Vanilla concept is an all for one, one for all type of society where nobody is wealthier then anyone else. In the vanilla game, you don't have lots of different better and larger homes, it's all on the same level house.. wood or stone! You eventually want all houses as stone. You have a basic set of professions to handle all the basic needs of a society. With mods you have everything from dinky little houses to larger higher end houses. In an all equal society, why would anyone choose to live in a rinky dink shed while another lives in a nice big house? So, you have to kind of ignore that aspect of things when you play with mods. It was never designed as a realistic game from the start, but the mods have helped bring that around to try and be more realistic, but we are still stuck with the initial concept that cannot be overwritten with mods. In our minds, we built a house above the tailor so he'll live close, but some dipshit market worker ends up in there and the tailor is across town. Eventually things work out because no one worker keeps the same job, they keep switching it up. It's all built on some weird algorithm that makes it all happen.
