Some things I'd like to see, auto-repair, auto-refuel, auto-intercept orders (up to specified fleet power). Those get real tedious right there when they send 10 fleets of single corvettes.

Defcon 1 happened at episode 14 - Humanity Declares WAR!, which the first two alien motherships to ever be shot down in the solar system can attest to.

This quantum storage of resources is quite silly. Of course having actual supply lines would be a nightmare in the game of such scope. But everyone just having beaming tech to get the freshly mined substances to wherever they are needed in the solar system is quite meh. This is how even though you control the orbit around Io, enemy mining colony can still supply them with materials, when in reality they would just sit on the planets surface.

HOORAY FOR EXPERIMENTATION! Hooray for experimenting with antimatter! Hooray for experimenting with mixed fleet ideas and sole ship type fleets ideas! Hooray for playing this a little like a board game and giving yourself options if one line of thought/strategy doesn’t work out given events. Hooray for Titans with Marines, armor, plasma, rail guns, and all those lovely kits. HOORAY for Marines; I wonder what they’re doing on that unknown alien base?

Jupiter seems to be the key to winning in Terra Invicta. Most resources overall on the four moons, although the random site elsewhere might have a huge fissiles or noble metal deposit, if you build out the four moons' mining, a decent defense fleet and some orbital works to launch raids of your own, you've won already. This seems to be why some strategies focus on early Jupiter rush, to deny the hydras use of too many of those moons. I'm up to 111K fleet strength and already knocked the hydras down to 35K thanks to Jupiter's moon resources.

You might be able to out range there guns and just sit in the back with lots of ammunition and lots of small ships.

There is a bug with bombardment and base defense. Unless you are running on speed 2 or lower, something in the game prevents your battlestations from properly defending themselves. edit: The missile strategy can work if you have some high-capacity launchers "screening" the nukes. Harlequins or Riverjacks launch a lot of missiles at once, which can overwhelm the PD of the station long enough for a nuke to get through.

If you can't manage to break through their PD with coilguns, you definitely won't with torpedoes. Maybe you could toss them on after you already had enough kinetics to saturate PD for a quicker kill? Anyway, looking forward to seeing how those Titan attack bombers perform.

I would love a Sci Fi novel that is based on this moment. Humanity is taking the offensive to an alien occupation force that has been surprised, but is reforming. You've got a front line forming at either Jupiter or Saturn why fleets move through the Asteroid belt, picking off bases and rogue ships. It would be so cool. Edit - A child could win a battle with an Indomitable class. Top of the line weapons and armor. But a real showing is winning a war with a Planetfall. Its just a Mausoleum filled with eighty men and women strapped to a booster rocket. You kill whatever it is you were flung at or you die, simple as that.

The antimatter farms are a noob trap - the amount of antimatter they produce at Jupiter 15 decimal places to the right, they will never produce enough antimatter use for anything even if you left the game run to millions of years into the future. Just do the normal thing and build supercolliders in Mercury orbit stations.

Defcon 30 isn't a thing. Defcon 1 means nuclear warfare is immenent (or has already started) and military response needs to be immediate. Defcon 5 is the lowest threat of nuclear war and military readiness should be at normal levels.

Pion torch is not worth using, it uses WAAAY too much antimatter. It's DV efficiency is actually lower than other drives because it's fuel type is reaction products, not hydrogen, so you can't use the hydron trap. The advanced antimatter plasma core drive is much better for any inner system travel. If you can get to it, try to focus on future energy tech to keep rerolling chances for the daedalus or protium torch. Daedalus are incredibly efficient and lets powerful ships reach the outer kuiper belt objects from the inner system in only 12 weeks and is objectively better than the alien engines except for immediate intercepts. Titans only needs one protium torch engine to have all the thrust it needs even with ludicrous amounts of armor and fuel tanks - it's DV is less than you'd expect from the numbers on the drive because needing 500 terawatts and 85% efficiency, the radiators are ludicrously heavy.

Nah, if you remember from the early game, factions aren't actually tied to nations. They will, however, lose a lot of resources and become meaningless, especially if you clear them off the face of the solar system as well.

Not sure if it's possible to take over the whole earth. Remember that each state consumes control points. If you go over your control points cap, that makes everything you control a lot easier to be flipped, disrupted, etc.

SO Pravus I have very very shitty news for you which has caused me to stop playing the game till this gets re worked, defense platforms auto upgrade with your tech on what the AI considers to be the most effective thing. Unfortunately the AI doesn’t seem to take atmosphere into account so it will mainly use lasers on mining bases. It makes planet side defense platforms absolute dog, honestly even if the AI decided to take atmosphere into account it still makes atrocious defense platforms

Bro you need to get your science up 🤦🏾‍♂️ Like aim for 2-3k science, 500 is small play my G you godda get this research done quick since you're basically fully at war with the aliens now... Do 1 or 2 stations wherever dedicated to only research facilities, military research in particular if you can. You the first KZbinr I've seen actually get that bar fully red but research coz you can't eat if you ain't got teeth 😤
