So..., just did this in anticipation of what we call a "Summer '7 Fishes' Party" where guests bring seafood dishes. I made a number of variations on the theme. First, exactly as Marion described which we felt had too thin a mayo. And it's messy if you don't do the piping bag technique! We had added a teaspoon of lemongrass from a toothpaste tube which worked well. Second, we made a batch w 1/3 cream cheese and liked the thicker consistency. Lastly, we made a Shrimp Taco version since the ingredients are so similar using black bean puree w a Latin spice palette. Also worked well w beans thickening up the overall product. Thank you, Marion!

I tried this out for Christmas dinner entrees and they were nice with some additional touches. This recipe needs more tang so a few dashes of Tabasco at the end and lime zest does the trick. Also a squirt of kewpie mayo also does it for me (:

I'm thinking of making these lovelies tomorrow... they would be served for about two hours total. Would they stay crisp? Would the avocado discolor?

Love this as it can have so many variations - dill would be my choice with the prawns and any seafood. I would also do a roast beef with a creamy mustard sauce

Today I'm watching some of your video's, the recipes are pretty simple for a non chef person like me. Btw, I think you're more Asian rather than farang. Good luck with your other projects. Greeting from Bali.

When you use coriander in your videos is that the same thing as cilantro?
@Marionskitchen6 жыл бұрын
Nick Chadwick Yes that’s right Nick. In the US it’s called cilantro and elsewhere we call it coriander. But it’s the same herb! 😊

Thank you for sharing this recipe,and l did it,but right now in winter,the vegetables are too expensive,l used Napa vegetables for salad,just the leaves only,and dumplings wrappers for wonton wrappers,why? We just have too much snow so l use what in my fridge leftover,but still crunchy and very good.here the picture oh sorry I don’t know how to put pictures for you to see,I will try,ok Thanks again and hello to your mom

When will you teach wonton wrapper recipe.?

Probably never, since most supermarkets carry them pre- prepared. If I had to start by making the wrappers first, this would never happen.
