My unsaved husband didn’t see why I was making a big deal out of not participating in Halloween. He said the kids would feel left out. “Kids are just getting candy. You’re being too strict!” Instead of trick or treating, we took the kids to the movies. It was PACKED full of other families that didn’t participate in Halloween either! I felt vindicated. Everybody was NOT doing it.

Literally my 4 and two year old are like "Halloween is the devil’s birthday” and my two year old says that it’s scary and she doesn’t like it. Proof that they know darkness and in their hearts what’s right and wrong.

Yes my nieces are the same way. They are quick to say my momma said Halloween is evil and they are 7 and 9 now but we're saying this when they were younger. I'm glad that their mom teaches them that.

Right! I don't know when people of God started allowing everything to be a part of their lives. If everything was okay, we would not be commanded to not only come out from among THEM, but also, BE YE SEPARATE! My kids don't even acknowledge Halloween, as we did not in my home as a kid either. God does not change and all this compromising from "Christians" is costing people their souls.

Hello I am 20, from the Uk and have recently given my life to Jesus. Not only did i find this message powerful and at times very funny but most of all I found it realistic. Give the devil and inch and he’ll run with it until he’s stopped. I used to LOVE horror movies, piercings, bashment(Jamaican dancehall), smoking weed, being promiscuous and partying. But by the grace of God I’ve been turned off of these worldly things. The Lord had blessed me with and amazing church, All Nations, a beautiful church family and most of all an urge to build a relationship with God. Im glad this video turned up on my explore page. This message is so good and I couldn't understand as a kid why I didn't find interest in Halloween like that. Now it makes sense and it's hard being me sometimes so why would I want to be someone else for a day that could get me stuck forever. 24:31 I remember watching The Originals and we (my brother and I) would feel like we were witnessing something we weren't supposed to. Especially with the witches, when they were doing incantations, I used to speed up because I had a bad feeling they weren't just acting. We got to the final season but when they brought a spinoff, we had been released from the chokehold and realized how stressful watching these demonic series. They make you have unnecessary feelings of dread outside your situation, you're scared of what you don't even know, a very heavy feeling of dread. After binge watching Avatar the last Airbender for a second time in 2021, I had a nightmare: was chased by fire benders 😂😂. I swear it felt so real, never been happier to wake up from sleep 😂😂😂

I currently work at Cracker Barrel and even though they have great pancakes and some great stuff in the gift shop which is where I work that is non holiday related, I don't want to be surrounded by the Halloween decorations and merchandise that they buy. Bad things have happened to me since I started working there and I'm applying to other jobs and staying close to the Lord! I got saved at the end of last year when I was on medical leave for a couple months and since then, I've been looking for a way to quit. I couldn't look for other jobs because I was still healing from my illness and next strain. But this week I'll be doing job applications!
