Great detailed hotel review Jamie and definitely a good location for cruises or visiting further afield. I’m a big fan of Holiday Inn and the IHG brands. Always try and choose them when I’m travelling for business and when I’m on a project for a year picking a good hotel and one that offers consistent service & quality matters as you notice things staying every week. Travelling as a solo female I always feel very comfortable using the bar and restaurants and the room service food is excellent. 👏

We travel by coach normally but will remember this hotel if we drive down early to visit friends. Hotel looks great lovely reception and for an old room it looked perfectly acceptable. How Holiday Inn has improved with their vegan options too..😋 Thanks for doing vlogs like this very informative ☺️

Another brilliant review video Jamie ☺️ This looks like a really good Holiday Inn! Great room plus some really nice extra facilities you often don't get (you know it's a good room if you've got a trouser press 🤩) and yes to the health club! Kids stay and eat for free is absolutely amazing! That sort of offer is a genuine game changer for us, and could easily be the deciding factor in us choosing where to stay! We love how upfront and unambiguous you are about being invited to stay. You always give a genuine and unbiased opinion regardless of whether you've been invited, and a lot of others could learn from your clear signing ☺️

@TravelBlogJamie same here - yes, it technically meets the requirements to put it in the description small print, but why not do what you do and be clear? It is waaaay more trustworthy and gives confidence in the review (always suspicious when the fact that it's an invitation isn't made blatantly clear)

Bathroom very white. But bedroom looks great. Infact Holiday Inn Express is our go to hotel in Southampton. Good package, includes parking, breakfast, taxi to & from the port and room, what's not to like. Happy sailing.

For a Holiday Inn that seemed lovely, came across as well maintained, seen a few that were grubby ! Was there a hotel shuttle to the port Jamie or were you & Maffoo back on the train ? Thanks Hotel Manager, the staff and oh Jamie too ! 😊
