On the afternoon of Wednesday July 3rd, I went to the AMC Village Crossing 18 Theater or Skokie for the 4:30 PM Real D 3D screening of ‘Despicable Me 4’.
I had a large bucket of popcorn and half a bottle of Evian water.
Opening logo I recorded was this custom Illumination Entertainment variant where the company name is made out of rainbow LED light pegs.
No closing logos with the exception of Mega Gus taking a nap after the credits scroll when Stuart still wielding the gun comes by, causing him to wake up.
Instead of giving my reviewed thoughts on the selfie cam as usual, I discover special offered mega minion merchandise, only to prove that I seriously didn’t want my evening before the 4th of July holiday to turn from red, white, and blue to plain yellow.
But I spot a cardboard standee display inside the lobby and a poster outside the building for my two pictures to take.
I wore a Team USA cap though the US men’s soccer team got eliminated from COPA America two days prior with a loss to Uruguay at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, I take my 3D glasses off, demand myself to stop going to see family-targeted blockbusters while continuing to enjoy just more PG-13 and R-Rated fare, and check on the updated score of a baseball game between the Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians.
Rating: 6.7 Out of 10
I also do a short Gru impression who reveals my aforementioned overall score scale.
Enjoy this Stuffed Animal Theater Killers follow-up!
