The spring crappie bite on the Mississippi River is heating up! I was invited to fish the Mississippi River with crappie fishing expert Jan Berra and could not pass up the opportunity. We head out on Lake Onalaska in search of pre-spawn crappies and find some great action. Check out our video to see just how we found success!

Just wondering what type of water you are fishing is this a backwater lake.

Edges of weed beds 4-7 feet fow. It’s early so the weeds have not come up yet in this video.
