I still struggle with stopping when things are 'good enough' knowing I could do better with more time/practice/aluminium/welding gas! But how many times do you want to do the same thing and at the end of the day the thing will drive the same regardless of how many ripples are in the body! I suspect the first time I take it anywhere it's going to get dented anyway. Still, we ain't building a trailer show queen here! Stone chips, dings, scratches, dirt, I want it all. I believe the correct terms is 'patina' :)

Love the video. We're currently restoring a pre-war Morris Minor and it's interesting to see how you approach problems on your car. Cannot wait to see it finished and on the road!

I can't wait either. Getting close now! I'll check out your channel. I enjoy watching people playing with old cars far more than all the supercar rebuilds.

looking great, you must have a few dollars invested in aluminum. did you ace your exam at work?

I think I have used 3 sheets of 1.6mm and a lot of a sheet of 2mm for the undertray. Just ordered 3 more sheets of 1.6 which should be enough to finish. Last sheets of 1.6 cost $160NZ each. Be interesting to see the price now a year later. Haven't done the exam yet. The news has been so depressing lately I removed all news apps from my phone and instead of looking at them I do exam study instead. I must say the time spent on my phone has dropped drastically!
