I love my guitar. everybody that sees and hears it is very impressed. the combination of parts I used turned out to work great together. Tons of power, sustain and tone, everything I could have wished for and more.

That's AWESOME! I'd rather have your build than an actual Gibson! 🤗🤩😎

I just realized that you were playing the beginning of Caught in a Dream, by Alice Cooper at the onset of the video.

Man all that effort and you didn't bother grain filling the body.

Lmao tone from a bridge come on................

Nice job. One question though....why didn't you level sand the finish better to get rid of all the orange peel? You did such a great job, but the finished top seems to fall short in all the effort & time you spent.

Just google precision guitar kits on google, and their website will appear. The guitars are quite expensive i am afraid, you get the body and the neck for 400-700 USD.

You are looking at PRE FINISH work. You always do a test assemble before final polishing, sanding, etc. Look again at the final shots and open your eyes.

I installed Stewmac Parsons street humbuckers in my 339 and I think their even better than Seymour Duncan pickups and that's a very high standard.

Hi! Im thinking to order a custom les paul from Precision guitars. So do you recommend the company? I have read somewhere that they are hard to get contact with. I live in sweden so if i buy one i want it to get here, not to pay 450 US dollars and get NO guitar lol :P Im thankful for a fast reply!

Virtually none if you use a Les Paul style guard. That is screwed to the body at the pickups and one little screw just under the edge to support the bottom edge. I have installed a pickguard on that guitar now and all I had to do was install those three screws. that's it.

I used the 1885 TUSQ slotted nut from Stewart MacDonald. I have been putting the TUSQ nuts in all of my guitars for a while as they seem to work great, lots of sustain and the strings never bind or "click" through. You really have to check the width of the slot in your neck to be sure but this one fit mine perfectly.

All I have done to the frets ws tape them over for finishing. They seemed to be perfectly level and finished right out of the box. It plays like they are perfect as well.

This farts everywhere... I've seen him putting a guitar together on a Rockler vid and some other vid demo-ing some routers or something.

I made contact with these folks via email and that was never a problem. I love the products they sell and would buy another if I get time to build another guitar!

Alinco 2 at the bridge and Linco 5 at the neck, supposed to give a good balance and it sure seems like it to me!

Sounds ballsy! A low end Gibson LP studio whatever... sounds very brittle these days.

Strange ! I placed an order from this guy and asked a few questions like mailing address and never heard anything back.

What modifications would you have to make to the body to install a pick guard?

Hmmm. One of these... or buy a LP Studio and build it up? They are roughly the same price. Hmmmmm

+IPushHard --- Don't give Gibson any more money; they've ripped off the public long enough. Glad to see people building their own guitars.

+Rj Overall, I agree with you. But making things in this country has a lot of overhead these days and there are good things about having the American makers in business. I dont understand the $1000.00 premium for an (Gibson) ebony fret board, but hey if I could afford 3000.00, I could afford 4000.00 (and I can afford neither). I too am glad to see people building their own guitars. I'm also glad that there is a company out there producing high quality LP style foundations for us to build on.
@Voxboy8768 жыл бұрын
I have several of these. If you saw the quality of the wood and fret work...you would not be saying that. If you have finishing skills...it is better.

I like how you did the faux binding. The sunburst finish is gorgeous! Nice job!👍😎🎸🎶
