@@simracinggarage3026, fair answer Barry. But would the Fanatec Podium software "unlock" any hidden features of the DD hardware which the current software isn't doing ? Asking this, just to understand better and yes, looking to purchase ...

I am so glad you did this review. I have the same wheel at home in my closet waiting on my SC2 to arrive. Glad Simon, sent you a wheel. I wonder if he sent it at the same time he sent mine out. I opened my box and seen the rim and also I have an envelope in it, I didn’t see that connector end in my box. I am sure it’s there. So I will have to look when I get home on Thursday night. Great review as always Barry!! You comment on how great his encoders are, but what people may not also know is that Simon is very, very easy to work with!!! He is always happy to answer questions. I found it easier for me to message him on Facebook. And he’s very quick with replies.

Actually, this wheel belongs to fellow Sim Racer. He was kind enough to send it to me for the review. It is being returned to him now that the review is finished.

Another great review, thanks Barry! I own the wireless version of the GT3 and it is spectacular. The wireless implementation is rock-solid and far superior to the Bluetooth implementations I've tried in the past. I can't wait til Simon comes out with wireless versions of his formula rims.

Barry, I love your video's, In fact I have just bought the GT1 version of this wheel based on your review. There is one thing I must share with you....When using a vernier caliper to measure, you should only use the front most machined "Sharp" edge, further back the tool increases inaccuracy

a good review I am thinking between two wheels, Cube Controls GT Pro Sparco and Precision Sim Engineering GT3. Which one do you recommend more? And do you have any review plans for the SimWorx Pro Series GT V3 LC Pedal?

10:40 build my own and used several iteration of such encoders, but then bit the bullet and got myself some CTS288 which those probably are. No bouncing, no inaccuracy anymore

Hi Barry, Do you prefer this to your Cube Controls GT Pro Sparco?
@simracinggarage30265 жыл бұрын
Both are great wheels. I like the lighted buttons on Cube's stuff. At the end of the day, I would prefer the PSE GT3. It has the edge when you look at the finer details IMO.

I've been looking forward to you reviewing PSE gear. I had the pleasure of trying out the GPX last year, and it was something pretty special. Would really enjoy watching you review that wheel and/or the LM-Pro. In the meantime I'll enjoy this breakdown of the GT3, thanks!

i have it, the only problem i have is the some of the bottons if u dnt hit dead on center they flicker, for example one of mine is set to look left for iracing and while im driving i press it but it flickers insted of just stay looking right. If i press perfect no. but while racing u want just a quick look not a flikering left center left center.

The Podium adapter would be better, as it is a bit smaller in diameter and more compact overall. fanatec.com/us-en/steering-wheels/podium-hub

this is a company that is well known to everybody from years back.they were the first making these kind of wheels,before sam maxwell and way before martin and others. but because they were overpricing their products and especially the first gen of their wheels, those who remember had aluminum paddle shifters and back plates and were ridiculously expensive.and then came sam and later martin with much better products with real carbon and great prices for all.don t forget that they were in collaboration with leo bodnar who is also overpricing his products according to competition and now we have simucube that to me at least that i have try both i really dont see any deference to justify that deference in price.honestly i think both of them and leo lost a chance to become No1 in sales and way ahead of the competition especially because they came out first.Propably they think they have the holly grail.to me they are completely off the market.you have to be natch to spend what they are asking when you have so many choices in products with better prices and better quality materials.
